More activity won’t fix your pipeline problem. The GTM systems underneath it will. I write about what that looks like || 🥏 Amateur Disc Golfer & Ultimate Player 🥃 Bourbon Enthusiast 🎮 Lifelong Pokémon Fan 🐕 Dog Lover
I broke into B2B tech as an SDR. I thought hustle alone would carry me, process be damned. I just needed to work harder than everyone else. Boy was I wrong. I struggled hard out of the gate, thought maybe sales wasn't for me (turns out, I was kinda right). Over time, I proved myself wrong and eventually saw some success. The thing that turned it around for me wasn't more effort (shocker, I know). It was a system. A manager who gave me structure, a process I could actually repeat, and a community of peers who caught what I was missing on my own. That lesson never left me, and I see the exact same pattern play out in my role now. --- More activity doesn't fix a broken pipeline. A system underneath it does. More SDRs, more ad spend, more content, more campaigns. The instinct when pipeline slows is always to add capacity. But new effort thrown at a broken system just produces more friction, not better results. I spend my time on the events and partnerships side of go-to-market, which puts me close to a strange, useful truth. The deals that actually move aren't the ones with the most touchpoints. They're the ones where the process behind the pipeline can hold up at scale, not just look good in a slide. Nowadays, I write to help GTM teams: > Recognize when "add more headcount" is a reflex, not a strategy > See the difference between the systems layer and the execution layer, and why most content only ever talks about one > Understand why scaling a weak foundation just means scaling the weak parts faster (AI included) > Question activity metrics that reward more dials and touches without producing more pipeline > Build enough presence to be the default first call, not one of five options someone's now comparing I love talking with sales, marketing, and RevOps people, casually or on a call. Feel free to shoot me a connection request or an email if you want to chat. --- 🥏 Outside of work, you can usually find me on the Ultimate Frisbee field, the disc golf course, or chowing down on a burrito from Anna's Taqueria (best burritos in Boston, trust me). 🥃 I love a good bourbon (give me an Eagle Rare any day of the week 😁) 🎮 I'm (unashamedly) a huge fan of Pokémon (Haunter is my all-time favorite) and Dungeons & Dragons (currently playing as a Human Fighter//Barbarian named Thad Argentine). 🐕 My dog's name is Frankie, and he's the goodest boy in the world.

Loving seeing Boston come alive around #UNBOUND. Packed few days ahead. (Side note to HubSpot - please don’t move this back to SF lol) Wed AM: Breakfast to talk about the future of marketing. Tackling the hard stuff: where buyer touchpoints belong in an AI-dominated world, and how you balance efficiency while actually being authentic. Wed PM: Receipts at Trillium Fort Point. Revenue leaders talking about what’s actually working (with an open bar as an added bonus). If you're free, come through. https://lnkd.in/e-FsC6Rq Thu AM: Heads down, prepping for our happy hour later that afternoon. Want the details? DM me. Thu PM: Party hopping through the Seaport. HubSpot has an official list of after-hours events (https://lnkd.in/eunjPdT4), and I know of a few that aren't featured. HMU if you want to meet up anywhere! Fri: Praying I don't catch the UNBOUND flu (again). Who else is around this week? Photo of my favorite moment from the last time I was at IN/UNBOUND in 2024. This guy dressed as Deadpool while standing in front of the main stage before Ryan Reynolds went on for his closing keynote.
Who's going to be at #UNBOUND this year? Every year, I end up making more connections at the ancillary events around the conference than in the sessions themselves. The agenda is solid, don't get me wrong. HubSpot knows how to put on a killer conference. Educational sessions, fun experiences, and an insane speaker lineup (I mean freaking Tom Brady, Aziz Ansari, and Suni Williams are going to be here). But the bigger, unreplicable thing they do is gather tens of thousands of GTM people in the same city for a few days. Talking with people in person vs. over Zoom or in online communities just hits different. And yes, it's valuable to meet people on the way to various sessions, at brain dates, or in line for lunch, but I think the conference really hits its stride after hours. The best connections and conversations I've had in recent years have been over a drink, at a hosted dinner, during a ping-pong match or darts game…basically when people stop performing and start to be themselves a bit. I’ve met dozens of people IRL that I’ve only known online for years at these after-hours events. I’ve turned random introductions into partnerships and friendships. Plus, these ancillary events are usually really freaking fun. HubSpot used to publish a roundup of all the dinners, happy hours, and meetups happening around the conference. Haven't seen a 2026 version yet. So let's build it ourselves. DM me (or comment) a party, dinner, or happy hour you know about, and I'll send you back everything I've got. Let’s crowdsource this shit.
Me when I sort my LinkedIn inbox by 'unread' and see the dozens of messages I've missed. To everyone I left on read - my b. To LinkedIn - why are you like this? To anyone who's solved this problem - how? It's not like I'm missing revenue here. I just feel bad about ghosting people by accident. I know tools like Kondo exist, but I can't justify the price when this is mostly a convenience thing.
