Venture Development @ Wayra | Business Student @ DHBW
I'm a dual student in Digital Business Management at DHBW and work in Venture Development at Wayra, Telefónica's startup hub. I post about AI, SaaS, sales and startups, and I'm currently building in public from my exchange semester in Taiwan. Over half of the people who engage with my posts are founders and C-level, with a strong engineering and data crowd on top. If your product helps startups sell, build or scale, I'll show it to them in my own voice, based on actually using it, not a copy-paste ad.

My first day in Taiwan was a disaster. I'm here for an exchange semester and landed yesterday. Here's everything I got wrong 👇 👉 Mistake #1: I showed up after 24 hours of travel with barely any sleep. Three flights and long layovers. I arrived totally exhausted — which is exactly when you shouldn't be making decisions. 👉 Mistake #2: I took the wrong train. I assumed I had to switch trains in Taipei to reach my university city. Wrong. That one wrong guess cost me an extra hour I really didn't have. 👉 Mistake #3: I couldn't contact my landlord. Messaging here runs on LINE, which I couldn't sign up to with my German number. It took me around four hours to finally get into my room. 👉 Mistake #4: I had no bedding to sleep on. So before I could crash, I had to go back out and buy the basics. After a full night with zero sleep, that last errand was tough. But now that I can think straight again, here are my tips for you if you ever find yourself moving to a new country for work or university: 👉 Try to download the local messaging app before you arrive. And if it won't let you sign up (like with me), it's probably your foreign number. So the first thing to do when you land is get a local number and register with that. 👉 Take the direct flight when you're moving. I booked the cheaper one with layovers and was totally exhausted when I arrived. 👉 Always double-check your routes. You don't want to waste time and money travelling even longer. Now that this trouble is behind me, the exchange can really start! I will be sharing my experiences in Taiwan here on Linkedin 2-3 times a week: University, making friends here, startup/business events and personal experiences like the ones above. #exchangestudent #dualstudent #taiwan
In a few hours, my flight takes off and then Im going on exchange. While that sounds nice, here are 5 things Im leaving behind after 2 years of building a career 👇 1️⃣ My network: Two years of coffee chats, events, and people I met in sales, SDR and venture clienting. 2️⃣ My seat in corporate venture: The daily view from the inside, watching how big firms really work. 3️⃣ Being close by: For 2 years, I was a short trip away from most of my network. 4️⃣ My people: The friends who calm me down after a rough week. Six hours ahead makes that harder. 5️⃣ My comfort zone: Knowing exactly how everything works: The language, the trains and the small talk. Now I will be confused again every day. For 2 years, I was a short trip away from most of my network. Now im 6 timezones away and much harder to grab a coffee with. But I´m not totally stopping: I want to use my exchange to gain new ideas and talk to new people. And to see how business and sales work on the other side of the world. I´m sure that great opportunities will open up. If you´re currently working or studying in Taiwan, DM me. I´d love to get to know you! #Sales #ExchangeSemester #VentureClienting
I´d rather go party on the weekend... ... is something I would never say. Sorry to break it to you guys, but I would rather use my weekend to connect with ambitious people. This weekend, I’m attending the Future Leader Summit, where Germany’s most driven young talents and inspiring companies come together. Whether you’re a student or young founder looking to connect, or someone experienced willing to share insights — feel free to reach out. I´d love to fill my weekend in Hamburg with as many interesting coffe chats as possible. Let’s turn a quick conversation into something valuable. (Don´t be decieved, you´ll definitely see me on the dancefloor on Saturday)
