About Fonthip Ward

SEO Consultant - I help brands grow organic revenue & AI search visibility | 14+ years in Thailand & Australia

I’m Fon, Toowoomba-based, with 14 years of experience in SEO. I work with clients across Australia and Thailand. I started out behind the scenes. For over a decade I was the person agencies called to do the SEO work they'd already sold. Real results. Just not my name on them. I built Search Studio to change that. I work directly with business owners who are done being confused by SEO. No jargon. No vague promises. No disappearing into an account manager's inbox. Just clear strategy, honest advice, and work that holds up when Google changes the rules. My clients stay for years. Some have been with us for nearly 10 years. Not because they're locked in. Because the results keep coming. SEO keeps getting more complex. AI search, local visibility, content that actually earns trust. I stay on top of it so you don't have to. If you want to know exactly why your site isn't ranking, book a free strategy call. Link in the featured section.

  • A client's SEO cost per QUALIFIED lead is 5x cheaper than their Google Ads. Same client is spending 5x more on Google Ads than SEO. Their SEO budget isn't even maxed out. There's real room to scale it. Budget doesn't follow performance. It follows what feels controllable. Ads give you a dashboard you can watch in real time. Spend goes up, clicks show up same day. It feels like a dial you can turn. SEO doesn't give you that dopamine hit. The payoff is real, but it's delayed and harder to point at, so it gets treated like the safe, smaller bet. And that 5x gap is the conservative number. Attribution never gives organic full credit. Someone reads a blog post, forgets about it, then Googles the brand name two weeks later and converts through what tracking calls "direct." Nobody's being irrational here. They're just reacting to what's visible, not what's actually working. If you've never put your ads cost-per-lead next to your organic cost-per-lead in the same chart, do that first. Anyone else fighting this exact budget logic with a client right now?

  • Google Analytics just got easier to actually look at. GA4 now has Dashboards. Drag and drop your KPIs onto one screen. Revenue, sessions, conversion rate, whatever matters to your business, all in one place. No more digging through six reports to find one number. 😅 The data was always there. Nobody could see it. That's been the real problem with GA4 since it launched. Not a lack of data. A findability problem. This is Google finally building one. Still early. Still limited compared to what you can do in Data Studio. But for a business owner who just wants to check "are we making money this week" without calling their SEO person, this is a big deal. Anyone testing this yet?

  • Found this in a client's Google reviews. 5 stars. From someone offering to remove fake reviews. Posted as a review. The self-awareness is not there. I read it twice just to make sure I wasn't missing the joke. I wasn't. Anyone else getting these lately? 🫠
