Currently working at Sirion, before doing my MBA from the Indian School of Business, I used to work as a Social Media Manager at The Motion Story, my responsibilities include social media management for brands, copy writing, content writing as well as creative conceptualization of campaigns for brands both online and offline. Before I decided to venture into the field of advertising I also spent time working in the IT industry as well as in the field of Pharmaceutical industry giving me a very unique viewpoint that I believe I can use to make an impact in the advertising industry. In my free time I like to tell strangers jokes.

I graduated from one of the top B-Schools in the country in the top 3 in my campus. And yet I can very confidently say that my wife, Tvishi Mongia is 10x times smarter than me. In her previous organization, she joined the company when they were pre-revenue and made an impact in not 1, not 2 but 3 different verticals. Not only did she set up the customer support system on her own, she handed it off to a new person and proceeded to streamline the operations when the sales started to scale and reduced order pickup times from 6 days to less than 48 hours. She was then asked to take over performance marketing and despite not having any knowledge of the same, she managed to yet again scale the number of orders significantly. Unfortunately, it was at this juncture that her company decided they needed to bring in a specialist for this and let her go. The good news is that a super generalist worth her weight in gold is now available in the market to join a D2C company in the middle of that 0 to 1 journey. So whether you are facing issues with website conversions, shipping issues, customer support issues, performance marketing, event marketing, you name it, she's done it all. Oh and did I mention that she ran her own company and scaled that to 50K orders by herself, handling the end to end process, right from manufacturing to marketing and sales? Anyone companies looking for to hire for Founder's office roles might find the perfect fit in her. Please DM her or drop her an email at [email protected] in case she seems like the perfect fit!
We replaced travel agents with websites and now we'll replace websites with agents again to do bookings. The world is such a weird place.
I find it really interesting how much your messaging should change depending on how well your customers already understand you. Most B2B websites are written for someone who already knows the company, knows the category, and is halfway through comparing three vendors. That's a perfectly good message for that person, but that person is rare. Most people landing on a homepage are earlier than that. Some don't know there's a better way to do what they're doing, and some know the problem very well but have never gone looking for a tool. Eugene Schwartz wrote about these levels of awareness in 1966, which means B2B has had about sixty years to read it. When I looked at 100 B2B SaaS homepages, 71 put AI or agents in the headline. That works if you already know you want an AI tool. If you just know your team spends Thursday afternoons fixing the same spreadsheet, it reads like it was written for someone else. I'm not sure there's one right answer for a homepage, because it gets every kind of visitor. But I'm assuming most of us write for the visitor we wish we had, not the one who actually shows up. Which stage do you think most of your website visitors are at?
