About Irena Kosovic

Building the EU Funding Pathfinder | EU funding research and product discovery for innovative companies | Researching how people experience emerging technology: robotics, embodied AI and AR

I’m building an AI tool that helps companies and organisations find EU funding opportunities they are genuinely likely to qualify for. It started as a hackathon prototype in Aarhus, Denmark, and I’m now developing it independently and in public. I share what I learn about product research, finding first users, understanding real needs and making complex funding systems more useful. My background is in fine art and international curation. I hold an MFA and have spent 15 years working across artistic, institutional and partnership contexts. This gives me a particular perspective on technology: how people experience new systems, what makes them trustworthy and meaningful, and how design and culture influence adoption. Alongside the Pathfinder, I’m developing research and writing around robotics, embodied AI, AR heritage and AI-art curation. I’m especially interested in the human and cultural layer of emerging technology. If you work with EU grants or startup funding, I welcome conversations with potential Pathfinder users and collaborators. I’m also open to selected research and creative-technology partnerships where artistic, cultural and human-centred perspectives can contribute to the development of new systems.

  • How it all started… supercool SuperModerno 🐐 Try to find that OG book. Wish I have it or they would reprint it. It seems understanding visual and design decisions at fundamental levels will become superpower. #interactiondesign, #UXdesign, #productdesign, #interfacedesign,

  • Events are notorious to organise well, I organised and curated seminal AI Art exhibition back in 2023 for Nordic Blockchain Association conference in Copenhagen. 40 artists rotating on 10 big screens. It was stressful but so rewarding. My colleagues from conference helped me a lot with logistics but in truth I would have appreciated a tool to keep everything together and help me navigate layered complexities of such an event. I signed up for Milo AI 🧢 demo and you can too down at his original post.

  • I’ve been going back to the foundations of Pathfinder before adding more to it. I’m making sure the product only stores and returns what the evidence can support, is honest about uncertainty, and makes clear where human judgement still matters. Before I start testing it with real users, I think I should keep tightening how the evidence is handled and what information the product should be able to access. Love how Strawberry has become an important part of my workflow. I use Claude as a counterpoint—to challenge assumptions and test the work—while Lovable is where I build the product itself. The tools help me move faster, but the responsibility for what Pathfinder says, how it handles uncertainty, and what it leaves for human judgement remains mine. And yes my M4 is named Pandragon 😁
