At 16, I wasn’t sure where my journey would take me, but I knew one thing: dreams mean nothing without action. That’s when I started my first business. Not because I had everything figured out, but because I believed in taking the first step. A few years later, I founded Young Leaders Collective, a non-profit built around helping young people discover what they’re capable of. Somewhere along that journey, I discovered the power of personal branding. LinkedIn changed the trajectory of my own life. It brought me opportunities, relationships and experiences I never imagined when I published my first post. Eventually, I realised I could help other entrepreneurs do the same. That’s why I built Personify. Today, we help entrepreneurs dominate LinkedIn and become category leaders in their industries, without spending their entire week creating content. Across our portfolio, we’ve generated 5M+ views, grown 50K+ followers and helped book 50+ meetings every month through LinkedIn. In short, we want the right people to discover you, understand what you’re great at, and know exactly why they should work with you. I’m still chasing the same thing I was at 16: building things I believe in and helping other people realise what’s possible for them. Always up for a good conversation. If you’re building something cool, want to grow your personal brand, or just want to connect, feel free to DM me!

I scaled my marketing agency past 6 figures revenue in less than a year, if there is one thing that did it, it’s this. Focus. When I look back at my journey with Personify, so many smaller opportunities surfaced along the way. Gigs and opportunities here and there, even taking on roles in other startups that interested me. And at the early stage, when revenue was small, those offers were really tempting. But now that I look at it, our growth became explosive because I was focused. If I had taken on those gigs instead, and compared that revenue to what Personify makes now, I’d honestly look like a fool. When you focus on one thing, you also learn fast. You become the subject matter expert, instead of someone who’s just decent at a bunch of things. Personify has been thriving, alongside our clients, and we’re on an extremely great trajectory for the next 3 to 5 years. And I now tell myself, I will never lose focus again. We want to be the best LinkedIn marketing agency in Singapore. So if you don’t know who we are, at Personify we work with experts to become category leaders on LinkedIn. We only take on one client per industry, because we believe you deserve our full focus. Once you’re in, we close it off completely, and our slots are filling up fast. If you’re running a successful business and want to be seen as the go-to name in your space, drop me a DM, let’s get to work!
Our latest client at Personify asked me a question that caught me off guard. This is what he said: "𝘒𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘪𝘯, 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴? 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩, 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶." I was flattered, because if I'm honest with you, I don't actually have a sales system. But still, I pretty much just close every client I'm interested in working with. I sat with the question for a bit and think I found my answer, I'll get to it at the end. But first, let me tell you how we met. He's in the same industry as me, an incredible marketer whose content I'd been following on Instagram for a while. So I dropped him a text on LinkedIn and arranged to meet up. I hosted him somewhere nice, and we just talked. I learnt about his story, shared mine, how I stumbled onto LinkedIn as a teenager and how creating content here ended up changing my life. Somewhere in there, I told him what we do at Personify, and that I was confident I could help him scale on LinkedIn too. It was a great conversation. As we wrapped up, he looked at me and said, "𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺." We signed him that same week. So here's my answer: the biggest factor was 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍. I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I love helping other entrepreneurs discover that same joy in building their brand. You can't fake that, you either have it or you don't. And in this case... it did all the heavy lifting for me. If you're building something you're proud of and want help telling that story on LinkedIn, drop me a DM. Let's get to work.💪🏼
How long should I build my personal brand on LinkedIn before I start seeing results? A lot of people ask me this. Here’s my answer. I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t have an answer to that, and honestly, it doesn’t really matter to me. The moment you start attaching a dollar value that intentionally to your personal brand, it’s already doomed. Stop building your brand just because you want sales or leads. Build it because you have really good stories to tell, and because you actually want to give your audience something worth their time. Across the accounts we manage, every client hits a different turning point. But on average, it hovers around 6 to 9 months before the brand really starts working as an engine on its own. Some land big clients in their first week. Some end up on the front page of a newspaper off one story. Some get invited to speak on stages they never imagined. Everyone’s journey looks different, and honestly, that’s the part I love most about this. So stop obsessing over the timeline. Focus on telling your stories well. Be generous, be kind, and most importantly, be unapologetically you. The results will come. They always do.
