Ask most people what worries them about a care home and they'll say falls. Hardly anyone says the medication round. They should. It needs complete attention. It's done by people who rarely get five uninterrupted minutes. And far too often it runs on memory and goodwill. I've spent my career in care technology, much of it in care management and eMAR software. Now I'm National Key Account Manager for residential care at Evondos, working with care home operators across the UK on exactly that problem. Evondos has spent eighteen years on one idea. Medication should never get in the way of someone's life. More than 40,000 devices are in use across eight countries. My job is to bring that into UK care homes, so care teams spend less time on the round and more time with the people they're caring for. What I care about: Care teams getting time back, not being asked to do more with less. Residents getting their medication right, on time, with their dignity intact. Technology that fits how a care home actually works, alongside the systems it already uses. Outside work, I'm a trustee at Headway Devon and Solihull Care, and I mentor small businesses through Somerset Council. I post about care, mental health and life with ADHD. Occasionally about sandwiches. If you run care homes and want to talk about the round, message me. No pitch deck required.

Marks and Spencer have been doing the “This is not just…” thing for years. “This is not just a beef & onion peppercorn mayo roll.” It’s generously filled. It’s hearty. It’s in their softest white sub roll. LinkedIn took this exact format and went: “This is not just a promotion.” It’s a journey. A lesson. A new chapter. No mate It’s a promotion. M&S were doing LinkedIn before LinkedIn. They just had beef in theirs and if you think about it that makes it so much better.
Domino's has launched the "Italianos Range." Pizza is already Italian. All of it. Every base, every topping, the whole menu. It's like Ryanair launching a "flying range." Or Specsavers launching a "seeing range." Or a cat litter company launching a "shit range." Somebody sat in a meeting and got paid actual money to sign off on a hat on a hat. I'd love to see the slide deck that justified it.
Most corporate marketing is absolute bin juice. Companies spend three months in committee meetings drafting a press release nobody will ever read. Duolingo dropped two tweets during the Apple event. Zero budget. Millions of views. They did not write a 50 page strategy document. They hijacked the trend and acted like a real human. Marketers are terrified of looking unpolished. Meanwhile chaotic energy prints reach every single time. People do not connect with brand guidelines. They connect with people.
