  • Uber Honestly, this was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Today, booked a cab for my mother from Noida to Shahdara. She was travelling with my two elderly grandmothers. After they got into the car, the driver saw the luggage and very rudely said, “Ye koi maal gaadi nahi hai.” He then demanded ₹200 extra for the luggage. And yes, ₹200 is also not a small amount for everyone. For many people, ₹200 matters. If there is a genuine luggage charge, it should be clearly communicated and explained politely, not demanded rudely after the passengers are already in the car. My mother had to load all the luggage herself, despite travelling with two elderly women. They were also feeling hot, but the driver did not properly turn on the AC. We book cabs, we pay for the service, and we expect basic respect and professionalism in return. Drivers deserve to earn, absolutely. But customers also deserve to be treated with dignity. The problem here is not just the extra ₹200. It is the extra charge + the rude behaviour + the lack of basic consideration for elderly passengers. I would genuinely like a clear response from the company. Is this how customers are expected to be treated? And is demanding an additional ₹200 in this manner considered acceptable under your service standards? ₹200 may be just a number to some people. For someone else, it can matter. Either way, respect should never cost extra.
