Most Shopify stores don't fail because they look bad. They fail because nobody looked closely enough at why customers were leaving before they hit "publish." That's the gap I fix. I am Moiz, a Shopify developer specializing in custom builds, platform migrations, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) for DTC and eCommerce brands across fashion, beauty, health, electronics, sports, and lifestyle. With over 70+ Shopify stores launched, I've learned the same lesson every time: a store that looks great and a store that sells are two different builds. Most agencies only give you one. I work backwards from what you'd expect. I audit first, build second. Before a single line of Liquid gets written, I map out exactly where a store is bleeding conversions: broken navigation, slow load times, a checkout flow that makes people think twice. Then I build the fix using custom Shopify development, Shopify Liquid & theme architecture, Shopify solutions, CRO & UX optimization, store speed optimization, checkout and cart experience redesign, custom sections and features, third-party app and API integrations and systems built on real customer behavior. One recent build: a brand that had spent years on WordPress migrated to Shopify with zero downtime and zero lost SEO equity. They walked away with a homepage architected around how their actual customers shop, not a template. That's the bar every project gets held to. What I specialize in: • Custom Shopify Development • Shopify Liquid & Theme Architecture • UI UX Design • CRO & UX Optimization • Store Speed Optimization • Checkout & Cart Experience • Custom Sections & Features • Third-Party App & API Integrations • Ecommerce Website Development I partner with brands that care about building better shopping experiences, not just better-looking websites. If your store's getting traffic but not sales, that's rarely a traffic problem. Happy to take a look and tell you exactly what we find. No pitch attached. 📩 Let's talk.

If you run a Shopify store, you know that “cha-ching” notification is pure dopamine. I get it. I run my own store too, so I know that rush first-hand. But building backend systems and conversion-focused storefronts at Solvision Global has shown me the other side of ecommerce: The notification is the reward. The system behind it is the reason it happens. One of our clients originally came to us for a few Shopify changes. Nothing major. Just a few bits and pieces. But once we dug into the store, we found a much bigger problem. He was spending around $6,000 every month on Meta Ads, consistently sending traffic to the website. But the store wasn’t generating the profit it should have been. The ads were doing their job. The PDP wasn’t. His old product page looked clean enough, but ecommerce doesn’t reward “clean enough.” It wasn’t building enough trust. It wasn’t answering buying objections. It wasn’t guiding the customer properly. And most importantly, it wasn’t converting the traffic he was already paying for. So instead of making a few surface-level changes, we rebuilt the entire product experience. We worked on: • Stronger product hierarchy • Clearer trust signals • Better payment messaging • Improved variant selection • Better cross-selling • Stronger social proof • UGC integration • Cleaner purchase flow • Reduced friction around the CTA The goal was simple: Every section on the PDP needed to help the customer make a buying decision. Before the overhaul, the store was doing roughly $200–$400 in sales per week. After the new PDP went live, it closed around $800 in a single day. That’s why I think developers need to stop treating PDPs like technical templates. A PDP is not just: Product image. Title. Price. Variants. Add to cart. It’s the point where almost all your paid traffic has to make a decision. When I build one now, I think about: What does the customer need to believe? What objection could stop them? What creates trust? What reduces hesitation? What increases AOV? What deserves to be above the fold? What is distracting them from purchasing? Because your ads create attention. Your brand creates interest. But your PDP converts that attention into revenue. And if you’re spending thousands on traffic while sending people to a weak PDP, you’re basically paying Meta to expose your conversion problems faster.
Upwork is slowly turning into a pay-to-win platform. Just look at the “Boost your proposal” section. You can now bid 364 Connects to get 1st place, while someone bidding 341 Connects sits in 4th. That’s not really about who is the best fit for the job anymore. It’s about who is willing to spend more just to be seen first. And the irony? Upwork says boosting is optional. Technically, yes. Practically, when everyone starts boosting, not boosting becomes the disadvantage. As a freelancer, you’re already spending time researching the client, writing a tailored proposal, and paying Connects just to apply. Now you’re potentially paying hundreds more Connects for visibility before the client has even read a word of your proposal. I understand the business model. Upwork needs to monetize. But there’s a fine line between paying for access and paying for visibility. And when visibility increasingly depends on how much you bid, the platform starts feeling less like a talent marketplace and more like an auction. Curious what other freelancers think.
14 weeks ago, I wasn’t sure freelancing was going to work for me. I had never freelanced before. I remember wondering: “Will I actually be able to get clients?” “Will people trust me with their projects?” “Am I going to figure this whole Upwork thing out?” There was a lot of uncertainty. But I decided to give it a real shot. 14 weeks later… Today, I got my Top Rated badge on Upwork🚀 100% Job Success. Top Rated. 4 completed jobs. And, more importantly, a lot of lessons packed into just 14 weeks. What started as a “let’s see if this works” experiment turned into something I’m genuinely proud of. The biggest lesson for me? You don't always need certainty to start. You just need to be willing to figure things out along the way. There were proposals that got ignored. Clients I didn’t win. Things I had to learn on the fly. But every project made me better....... not just as a Shopify developer, but as a freelancer and business owner. And this is only the beginning. 14 weeks down. Let’s see what the next 14 bring. 🚀
