  • Looking for a cozy NYC venue for a very specific event! GenZtea is co-hosting an intimate Bollywood acoustic jam night with The Brown Room with Pooja Lama. Tech and creator events in NYC are making a massive shift toward being genuinely fun, experiential, and cozy instead of stiff networking mixers. Here is the exact vibe we are putting together: • Live acoustic band playing 2000s Bollywood hits • Warm chai, floor seating, rugs, and cozy lighting • Sing-alongs, duets, and playful living-room jam session energy • Capped at ~40 people (young creatives, founders, and professionals) The venue vibe is the most crucial part. We need a space that feels chill, relaxing, aesthetic, and intimate. Think a cozy loft, creative studio, or living-room style space instead of a loud bar. If you own a venue in NYC, host community gatherings, or know a space that fits this vibe: Drop your recs below, tag a space or owner, or shoot me a DM! (And if you want to join us for chai and 2000s Bollywood tracks, drop a comment below so I can share the invite once we lock the location.)

  • Cooperman Week is almost here, and I could not be more excited. At the Cooperman Business Center at Hunter College, and I built a full week of events for students of every major. Because business isn't just for finance kids. Here's the lineup: 📅 Mon 9/14 | Open House, 12 to 3 PM Meet the CBC team, learn about the Business Certificate, explore the clubs. Free pizza included. 📅 Tue 9/15 | From Humanities Major to Paid, 4 to 5:30 PM Industry pros share how they landed jobs straight out of college. Thanks to Medha Krishen, J.D. 🎶 for speaking!!! 📅 Wed 9/16 | You Don't Need to Code to Use AI, 4 to 5:30 PM A hands-on workshop on actually using AI in your schoolwork. Thanks to Tracy Huang for covering!!! 📅 Thu 9/17 | Entrepreneurship + the Creator Economy, 4 to 5:30 PM Creators and founders on building your own thing, plus a mixer to meet like-minded peers. 📅 Fri 9/18 | Cooperman Week Mixer, 12 to 3 PM Music, food, and new friends to close out the week. I put together a quick video breaking down the whole week (watch below 👇). want to come? Comment which event you're most excited about and I'll make sure you get the details.

  • I am usually the only person in the room at NYC tech events who works for a college. And definitely the only tech creator + college career advisor + Gen Z community founder. Higher ed constantly talks about "bridging the gap between industry and academia." The gap does not get bridged from just being inside a lecture hall. You have to actually show up where the ecosystem gathers. Here is where I was this week: 1. Flow State Lounge by Boundless Partnered with Boundless (thanks to Kashvi P.) to record LinkedIn creators in a pop-up studio. Sourced every speaker in under 24 hours. Took my DJI camera along for BTS footage and learned to order to get influencer marketing folks, they need to get approvals 1st. 2. Zineathon A GenZtea community member hosted a zine-making night. My first time stepping into The Residency hackerhouse (yes, NYC has real hackerhouses). Amazing to meet Erzsébet Ábrám 3. Gorgeous Growth Girlies Gossip Hosted at Air's NYC office. Spoke on university growth strategies and what it actually takes for brands to reach Gen Z. Also reconnected with the 7wireVentures orbit (the VC firm where I used to work). Thanks to Livia Han, Adel Wu, Nick Lafferty, and Kate Collins for hosting! 4. Creator Economy NYC Dropped by to catch up with folks and saw Ariel Serber and compare notes on the new LinkedIn community rollouts. If you are a founder, brand, or creator wanting to bring your world onto campus with the Cooperman Business Center at Hunter College, my DMs are open. Let’s build something together. (also still looking to a venue for event for Saturday for a Bollywood acoustic night)
