SDE-2 at OpenText | Helping early-career engineers land interviews and grow in tech | Resume & mock interview mentor
I'm a Software Engineer (SDE-2 at OpenText) with a strong interest in Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design, and emerging AI technologies. I enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable solutions, and staying current with how AI is reshaping tech and careers. Alongside my job, 125+ people have booked me on Topmate for resume reviews, mock interviews and career guidance, and they rate those sessions 4.9 out of 5. A lot of what I post comes from patterns I see in those sessions. Last weekend, I was comparing apartments in 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿, 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗿𝘂. Within the same 2–3 km radius, I found two listings. 🏠 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟭 (𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱): ₹43,000/month 🏠 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟮 (𝗨𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱): ₹32,000/month Same locality. Similar size. Similar amenities. Same office commute. The only major difference? Furniture. That made me realize something. Most of us compare 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔 𝘃𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕. But maybe that's the wrong comparison. The better comparison is: 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 vs 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 + 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. Because today, furniture doesn't necessarily have to be something you buy or something that comes with the apartment. You can rent exactly what you need—a bed, wardrobe, washing machine, refrigerator, sofa, study table—and still end up spending less than paying the furnished premium every month. Platforms like RentoMojo have made that option surprisingly practical. Which means your apartment hunt no longer has to start with: "𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀." Instead, it can start with: "𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁." Better ventilation. Better layout. Closer to work. Less traffic. A quieter street. Then figure out the furniture separately. It's the same shift we've already seen elsewhere. We don't buy DVDs anymore—we stream. We don't always own a car—we book one when needed. Now, we're slowly separating 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 from 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲. That feels like a much smarter way to rent. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗿𝘂—𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿, 𝗛𝗦𝗥 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶, 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗷𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲. Compare: * A furnished apartment. * An unfurnished apartment in the same locality + rented furniture. You might be surprised which one actually costs less. Sometimes the biggest saving doesn't come from negotiating rent. It comes from changing what you're comparing.

Just finished reading Build with Claude Code, and one thing I really liked about it is that it doesn’t treat AI coding as a magic trick. The book starts with something simple: how you communicate with AI matters. From writing better prompts and PRDs to breaking down a project into smaller steps, it shows how your thinking affects the output. What makes it interesting is the progression. You go from building simple webpages and apps to working with APIs, AI agents, MCP, plugins, testing, and eventually deploying a database-backed application. I especially liked the hands-on approach. It feels less like a book you simply read and more like one you can keep open while actually building something. If you're experimenting with Claude Code or AI-assisted development, this is worth checking out. 📖 Get the book: https://a.co/d/07E4jgBq #ClaudeCode #AI #VibeCoding #AIAgents #SoftwareDevelopment
