sooo i made an ios app..after couple of learning lessons from ''trash'' projects.. here is a mobile app that i built for myself to use and it reached 100 users without any marketing! long story short about Vocab.Language Cards : i moved into new country (portugal), trying to learn exactly european portuguese. and those big apps like dualingo has only brazilian portuguese and they made my integration a bit thougher. yes, other apps have european portuguese, but they just didn't match my taste and felt way too complicated. so i just wanted something simple everyday to swipe and build a solid vocabulary history first so i could understand things better. and it turned something pretty, cute and clean design after weeks of work, added more languages for you to use as well! it’s been a fun journey with a lot of learnings and now i'm more excited for my further projects 😛 your support would mean the world for my very first app! you can download in app store / link in the comments
do you continue to read the post even though you understood it is AI generated? sometimes either i don’t or just glimpse through all the text faster, since we know half of it is most likely burst wordings. i’m hearing more about AI biases these days and realized that i’m getting biases too, but also actual ambition to find and get better use of AI in a way that it does my repetitive tasks, organizes my work, and does deep search or so, but not be the final decision maker or execute everything from scratch. so yes, i guess the more you know about AI, you get more biases towards the ones using it as the final thinker. feel free to go against it or don't hesitate to support (as old linkedin used to be), open for feedbacks :)
if you are following some news about AI, here is an interesting one published yesterday: Anthropic, the company behind Claude, just published a policy framework where they are basically asking governments to regulate AI companies. including giving regulators the power to block AI models from being deployed if they pose serious risks. (worth noting that they are not asking for rules on everyone; the proposal only targets the very top of the industry, meaning models trained above a huge compute threshold and companies making over 500 million dollars in AI revenue or spending over a billion on AI research. so a small group of frontier labs, which includes anthropic itself.) their reasoning is that AI is improving so fast that voluntary transparency is no longer enough and governments need to catch up before the technology gets ahead of everyone. it is interesting to see a company asking for stricter rules on itself, and at the same time, no joke, it is scary what they mention in the full article and PDF (especially biological risk.) find the link in the comments
