Hands-on practice is essential, and you can easily run a lab environment for a full month without spending anything out of pocket. Here is how to structure your 30-day lab using Microsoft Azure free credits and the Azure Databricks free trial: Days 1–14: Spin up an Azure Databricks workspace using the 14-day Premium Trial. This waives all Databricks (DBU) fees, while your $200 Azure free credit covers the underlying VM compute and storage. Days 15–30: Once the 14-day DBU trial ends, don't worry. Your remaining Azure free credits will automatically cover both the Databricks software charges and the Azure infrastructure costs until your 30-day trial period or credit runs out. 💡 Pro Tip: Always set cluster auto-termination to 15–20 minutes and manually stop clusters as soon as you finish a lab.
