About Zaghum

Full Stack Software Engineer | Helping Startups Build Fast, Scalable Web Applications | React | Next.js | Node.js | AI | AWS

Hi, I'm Zaghum Abbas and I don't just write code. I build things people actually depend on. Five years ago I wrote my first production app. Since then I haven't stopped shipping. Full-stack, mobile, Fintech, SaaS. I've worked across it all with teams in the US and UK, and the one thing that never changed is this: I care whether the product actually works in the real world, not just in a demo. I've integrated payment systems with Stripe and Whop, locked down backends with JWT and OAuth, built live dashboards and real-time features using WebSockets and Socket.io, and taken mobile apps all the way through to the iOS and Android App Store. Not handed off halfway. Not "almost ready." Shipped. The tech is the easy part honestly. What's harder and what I've gotten good at is understanding what the product actually needs, flagging problems before they become expensive, and making sure what gets built is something users come back to. What I work with: Frontend → React.js · Next.js · React Native · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS Backend → Node.js · Express · GraphQL · REST APIs Database → PostgreSQL · MongoDB · Firebase Payments → Stripe · Whop Auth → JWT · OAuth 2.0 Real-time → WebSockets · Socket.io Mobile → iOS & Android Deployment What you actually get working with me: A developer who thinks about the product, not just the ticket Architecture that holds up when things start scaling Interfaces that feel right, not just look right Honest communication early, not after it's already a problem Open to hourly contracts, fixed-price projects, and long-term partnerships where the work actually matters. If that sounds like what you're looking for let's talk.

  • #TanStack is Doing Something Quietly Brilliant with RSCs TanStack is doing something most frameworks aren't treating RSCs like a tool, not a religion. No magic. No "throw out everything you know." Just explicit control, clean composability, and APIs that slot right into Router and Query like they were always meant to be there. What really got me is how data fetching, streaming, and caching finally feel like one idea instead of three separate problems you're constantly duct-taping together. RSCs here aren't a paradigm shift you're forced into. They're a powerful option you reach for when it actually makes sense. That's the kind of pragmatism that builds real, scalable apps not just impressive demos. Quietly, TanStack might be building the most developer friendly React ecosystem out there. #React #TanStack #WebDevelopment #JavaScript #Frontend

  • Exploring Payload CMS for Modern Web Applications Over the past few days, I've been working with Payload CMS, and it's been a great experience so far. What stands out is the flexibility it gives developers. Instead of fighting the CMS, you build exactly what your application needs. Whether it's a custom admin dashboard, REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, access control, or complex content models, everything feels developer-first. Some things I've liked: 1: TypeScript-first architecture 2: Built-in authentication and role-based access 3: Powerful REST & GraphQL APIs 4: Fully customizable admin panel 5: Perfect for Next.js, React, and modern full-stack applications I'm currently using it to build a scalable eCommerce platform, and the development experience has been smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a modern headless CMS that gives you full control without unnecessary complexity, Payload CMS is definitely worth checking out. Have you built anything with Payload CMS? I'd love to hear about your experience. #PayloadCMS #HeadlessCMS #TypeScript #NodeJS #NextJS #ReactJS #WebDevelopment #FullStackDevelopment #JavaScript #OpenSource #Developer #SoftwareEngineering #CMS #Tech #BuildInPublic
