Backend & DevOps Engineer | Python · Go · GCP · AWS · Docker | 2x Google Cloud Certified
I write practical, deeply technical content on backend engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure for an audience of software engineers and technical founders. My posts are rooted in what I actually build and run in production. What I cover: Cloud & DevOps: Insights from my Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer cert and building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure. Open-Source & Builds: Deep dives into projects like SnapPDF (a client-side browser toolkit) and AI agents. Developer Community: Takeaways from organizing CNCF Minna and speaking at events like GitHub Copilot Dev Days. My Audience: Primarily Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Founders. Best Fit For: Dev-tools, cloud/infrastructure SaaS, and developer education platforms. I test tools thoroughly before writing about them, ensuring every sponsored post is authentic, technically accurate, and written in my own voice to resonate with working engineers.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿!!! A few weeks after passing the Associate Cloud Engineer exam, I unexpectedly received a voucher for a Google Cloud Professional-level certification, with just 11 days left before it expired. With the hands-on experience I had gained building on Google Cloud as a Backend and DevOps Engineer, deploying things, breaking them and fixing them, I decided to take on the Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification, even though I had never planned or prepared for it. But it sits right at the centre of the work I've been doing and the direction I'm building towards, so I saw it as a chance to find out how far my practical experience could take me. I passed on the 16th of September. For me, this one was about going beyond "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥?" to "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘳𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘦-𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘴?" 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝟱 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀: 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Resource hierarchy, IAM, org policies, infrastructure as code, hybrid and multi-cloud. 𝗖𝗜/𝗖𝗗 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Artifact Registry, canary and blue/green deployments, and software supply chain security. 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management and reducing toil. 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting production issues. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Resource utilization, cost visibility and workload optimization. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄: I had already worked with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and IAM on client and product work, so I focused on Google's specific tooling and way of approaching these problems. 𝗦𝗥𝗘 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀: Understanding how reliability decisions are made, not just what the terms mean. The exam was heavily scenario-based. Almost every question asked which approach fits a specific set of constraints, not just what a service does. A big thank you to Victor Akande for the voucher and the opportunity. I genuinely appreciate it. I am currently open to opportunities where I can contribute my experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability, and Backend Engineering. If you are hiring or know of a team looking for someone with this background, I would be glad to connect. And if you are preparing for the Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer exam and need advice on what to focus on, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to help. #DevOps #GoogleCloud #SRE #CloudDevOpsEngineer #Backend
𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗗𝗙 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲𝗿. No paywalls, no signups and no files leaving your device. ⠀ I originally built snappdf for myself while working on my final year project, as I needed the tool for a lot of things. It started out of frustration, a lot of the PDF tools I came across would let me do everything I needed, then hit me with a paywall or signup when I was just about to download the file. ⠀ And sometimes, even after I cancelled or refused to pay, I'd still get an email with my document attached👀 ⠀ That made me think: What actually happens to these documents when I upload them? ⠀ Especially for sensitive documents like an NDA, a contract, or any document I wouldn't want to handle carelessly. ⠀ So I decided to build snappdf just for that. 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗱𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂: • Scan pages with your phone camera, automatically detect and straighten the edges • Turn photos into PDFs, including iPhone HEIC images • Sign documents by drawing or uploading your signature • Merge, split and keep only the pages you need • Install it directly on your phone as a PWA • Use it completely offline ⠀ The offline part really matters to me, especially for students, where the network could be good one minute and gone the next. I wanted something reliable that works with or without internet. ⠀ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲. Everything is processed locally in your browser, so your documents don't need to be uploaded to a server just for you to work with them ⠀ You can check this yourself: open your browser's Network tab while you use it, and you'll see that nothing gets uploaded ⠀ I built it as an open-source project because I want it to keep growing beyond the things I personally need. It has already gotten 20+ stars on GitHub, which honestly means a lot considering this started as a tool I built for myself. ⠀ I'll keep adding more useful PDF tools based on what I need and, more importantly, what people request. ⠀ 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: 👉 https://snappdf.abrahamalgorithm.tech ⠀ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲/𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼: 👉 https://github.com/AbrahamAlgorithm/snappdf ⠀ 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 👉 https://snappdf.abrahamalgorithm.tech/report ⠀ If you find it useful, use it and share it with someone who might need it. And I'd love to hear what you think.

So I built an open-source PDF toolkit that runs completely in your browser. Scan(edge auto-detect), merge, split and sign PDFs Works offline, and your files never leave your device. Try it: https://t.co/XsFTRbjJtb Repo: https://t.co/qZYle1zXq0 https://t.co/9WZmNPn38q https://t.co/CAiKNO3egU
PDF tools will allow you do all the work, then hit you with a paywall when you're about to download. Some even go ahead and email you with your file, so your document passed through their server
Nexalware lets apps and AI agents control physical devices, then checks the device telemetry to confirm each command actually ran. Python SDK, REST/WebSocket, and MCP for agents. https://t.co/MMsbKWu1Vw https://t.co/f2h90lF1H8
