Most capital is patient money waiting for someone else to do the work. Mine isn’t. I’m a General Partner at Expert Dojo, one of the most active early-stage VC fund in California, with 266 companies backed. Today my focus is private equity and family office capital: backing proven businesses that are worth far more than the way they’re being run. I invest like an operator because I’ve been one. Before venture, I built and ran a cement e-commerce company in India. I grew up around construction and real estate businesses, so building was never a career choice. It was the default. A decade of venture taught me one thing above everything else. Deals don’t fail on spreadsheets. They fail on people. So that’s where I look first. What I bring to the table: • Pattern recognition from hundreds of founders and companies • Hands-on work with leadership on the levers that actually drive growth • Rooms and relationships across Silicon Valley and India that most investors never access Also: angel investor with HBS Angels, Entrepreneur-in-Residence (Investments) at Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, and advisor in multiple VC, businesses etc. If you're from the Venture world, I would love to talk, email me at [email removed]

I grew up in a family that ran construction and real estate businesses. Nobody at our dinner table ever said the word valuation. They said cash. Who owes us. Who we owe. When the next payment lands. Whether we can make payroll if a project slips two months. Years later I ran a cement company of my own, and that dinner table followed me. Cement doesn't care about your pitch deck. It cares about working capital. It took me a long time in venture to realize how rare that mindset is. Private equity forces it back. When you own a business for years, you stop asking what it's worth on paper. You ask how much cash it throws off and what you can do with it. That's the lesson I'd give every first-time founder: Valuation is an opinion. Cash is a fact. What did your family's dinner table teach you about money? #Entrepreneurship #PrivateEquity #Founders
Nobody remembers your first attempt. Everybody remembers your tenth. #Persistence #Entrepreneurship
$121 billion. That's how much changed hands in private equity secondaries in just the first half of this year. A record. Some expect $250 billion or more by December. Investors want their money back. They're done waiting for IPOs that may never come. Most founders wait far too long to think about this, because nobody on their cap table wants to bring it up. This matters to the founder who has been building for nine years with zero liquidity. It matters to the early employee whose options are worth a lot and pay for nothing. It matters to every LP wondering when the cash comes home. Liquidity isn't a nice-to-have anymore. It's the deal. Plan your liquidity before you need it. Secondary sales, partial buyouts, structured exits. The best founders I know have this conversation in year three, not year ten. When did you last think about how you'd actually get liquid? #PrivateEquity #Secondaries #Founders
