Keynote Speaker | Helping growth-oriented organizations attract top talent and the most loyal customers
Generosity is a mindset, not an event. - Bob DePasquale Thriving organizations implement cultures of generosity that attract the best talent and the most loyal customers. It's good business! High-generosity people are 23% more likely to be satisfied with their lives overall! *The Accent, 2019 Being generous makes everyone’s life better. It doesn’t matter if you are the giver, the receiver, or just an on-looker. Bob learned this lesson at a very young age. In fact, if it wasn’t for some generous acts, Bob likely wouldn’t be here today. He has dedicated his life to empowering mission-driven organizations to build cultures of generosity that are made up of fulfilled employees and satisfied customers. The Generosity Guy has worked professionally and in volunteer roles for 23 years, in three different countries, and in 17 states. When Bob was given a cancer diagnosis and experienced the tragic events of 9/11 in New York City, he thought not only his life over, but everyone else’s too. He went from feeling like an invincible 18-year-old to an unworthy victim of life. What happened in the months and years following was truly miraculous - or was it generous? The acts of generosity he experienced saved his life. Bob’s story is unique but his perspective resonates with anyone who wants to enjoy the work they do, give to others, and make a positive impact in the world.

𝑄𝑢𝑖𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑜𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑! Let me be honest with you... Strong professionals don't just accept direction all the time. They talk about it too. And that matters more than a lot of people think. 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 You've gotta have conversations with the people whose job is to direct your work. Don't avoid talking to a boss and still expect to understand what they need from you. 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑚𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑎𝑦 𝑦𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔. It means you work to understand what drives them, why they're assigning something, and what purpose the work actually serves. You'll miss something without those conversations: 🔹 how you can make the company better 🔹 what leadership is really looking for 🔹 what you need to improve You can't say yes to everything and stay effective... ...You also can't say no just because you don't feel like doing something. You need the right understanding. 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡 🔹They protect quality. 🔹They create room for real leadership. 🔹And they help other people move and grow. 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 🔹 Push back early and respectfully 🔹 Decide where your yes needs a boundary 🔹 Explain the tradeoff without getting defensive And make sure the leader knows you understand their purpose. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝟏𝐗𝟏 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬: 🔹 "𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒'𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑" 🔹 "𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒'𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘" 🔹 "𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒'𝑠 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑎𝑡ℎ 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠." It takes maturity. Anyone can push back in a group. Having that conversation directly, on our own, shows real professionalism. 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? ========== ♻️ Share this with a professional who needs to set a better boundary with leadership. Bob DePasquale, CFP®CAP®
I love engagement on LinkedIn, but not the shallow kind that fills most social platforms. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑦𝑝𝑒. 🙄Quick reactions. 😖Empty noise. A lot of activity that doesn't actually make me better. 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. The kind that sharpen my thinking, challenge my assumptions, and help me serve other people too. 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. I can't just scroll and hope the right voices show up on a platform with millions of people. I need a way to focus on the things that matter most. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞 MagicPost. I jump into the platform and find the people I know will make me smarter and it keeps their content updated. That means I can go straight to the right posts, leave a thoughtful comment, react where it makes sense, and stay engaged without wasting time. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 🔹 I spend more time building actual relationships 🔹 I stay connected to voices that help me grow 🔹 I get more value out of my time on LinkedIn 🔹 I spend less time bouncing around the feed 🔹 I spend less time searching for people 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 You can spend hours making posts. But the bigger win is knowing who helps you improve, and making sure I stay in conversation with them. That’s why MagicPost stands out for me. It's about curating better engagement, protecting attention, and focusing on relationships. Take a look how it can improve your LinkedIn engagement too: get.magicpost.in/bob
You've got bad news for your boss. What do you do? 𝐻𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑎𝑛 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑗𝑜𝑏... Tempting maybe but quite the opposite. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 😬Nobody likes talking about bad news. Most of us don't want to bring an uncomfortable issue to the boss. We'd rather wait, hope it settles down, and avoid the tension. But that doesn't help. 𝐵𝑎𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑤𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑡 𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔. A problem usually gets worse when nobody addresses it. So you've got to learn how to have escalation conversations with leaders in a healthy way. A generous leader, whether we hold the title or we're simply trying to lead well, brings concerns up early and honestly. ➡️You don't panic. ➡️You don't dramatize. ➡️You don't blame others. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞. Put it in context. A concern can be serious without becoming chaos. A situation can be urgent without growing 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐨 ➡️ Make sure the pace and place fit the situation ➡️ Show the concern without creating drama ➡️ Leave room for questions and alignment ➡️ Bring the issue up before it grows ➡️ Explain the surrounding context ➡️ Share the facts clearly Skip these talks and small issues can grow. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀? ========== ♻️ Share this with a leader who needs to make escalation feel clear and useful. Bob DePasquale, CFP®CAP®
