Project Manager | Educator | AI in the Workplace | Hospitality-Bred
Project Manager and Educator based in Dubai, UAE, with 10 years of experience across, education, tech implementation, hospitality, and corporate learning delivery. I write about AI in the workplace, tech & leadership, and the stuff teams actually deal with. 6,200+ followers. Posting 3x/week consistently. Audience is mid-to-senior professionals across project management, operations, education, and tech. Recent statistics (past 3 months): Top-performing post hit 33,000+ impressions with 870+ engagements. Average post pulls 200+ reactions and 150+ comments. Ranked Top 3 UAE creator in Project Management & Emotional Intelligence (Favikon, February 2026). My content doesn't read like sponsored material. It reads like something a colleague would say in a hallway after a hard meeting. That's why people stop scrolling and actually engage. Best fit for: AI/productivity tools, SaaS for teams, workplace collaboration platforms, project management software, learning and development tools.
My worst hires all had one thing in common. I liked them immediately. I am not an HR professional. I haven't hired tons of people. But this happened to me a couple of times, and every single time, I was wrong. Great energy. Confident answers. Easy conversation. They felt like the right fit before the interview was even over. Not because they were bad people. But looking back, I was hiring for chemistry, not evidence. I picked the person who made me comfortable, not the person who would challenge the work. The quiet candidate who asked harder questions than they answered? I passed on them. The one who pushed back on my brief? Made me uncomfortable. I moved on. Months later, the "great fit" was coasting. And the one I passed on was probably thriving somewhere else. We often don't read talent, but familiarity. That's not instinct, but bias with a good reputation. Interviews reward confidence. Work rewards competence. They are not the same thing. Have you ever passed on someone and realized later they were the right choice?
Companies spent over $40 billion on AI. 95% of them got nothing back. But here's the part worth arguing about. The Forbes / MIT study didn't say AI doesn't work. It said most companies are using it wrong. Bolting it onto broken processes and expecting magic. The few who won did the opposite. Fixed the process first. Added AI second. So maybe it's not the tech. Maybe it's us. Or maybe the tech just isn't there yet, and we are all pretending. Is AI overhyped, or are people just using it wrong? P.S. The wild part: the same research shows the winners earn about $3.70 for every $1 they put into AI. So it's not that AI doesn't pay. It's that a tiny group is getting rich off it while everyone else gets nothing. The gap is the story.
Be honest for a second. How many times this week did you type something into an AI tool, already knowing what you were going to do? Not because the task was hard or you needed help. It felt safer to have another party validate the decision first. I caught myself doing this. I had the answer. I had the experience to back it. But instead of just going with it, I opened a chat and asked anyway. And the worst part? When AI pushed back, I questioned myself. Even though I'd already made the call. That's not using AI as a tool anymore. That's outsourcing confidence. We talk about AI replacing tasks, but what about what it's replacing in us? The ability to sit with a decision and just trust it. AI is incredible when you need it. But the line between need and habit is getting thinner every week. Don't let convenience quietly replace competence.
