About Dani Markovits

CCO at Shake Content | Ex LinkedIn | If your content isn’t driving pipeline, we should talk

Most founders know they should be building on LinkedIn. They post occasionally, get some likes, and wonder why nothing commercial is happening. The problem is rarely effort. It's architecture. Content without a clear point of view doesn't build authority. Visibility without the right audience doesn't generate pipeline. And a founder who sounds like their marketing team has already lost the thing that makes founder-led content work. I'm Dani, CCO at Shake Content - a LinkedIn marketing agency that helps founders, executives, and brands build the kind of presence that drives real commercial outcomes. We work at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and video-led content, turning a founder's voice into their most effective acquisition channel. Before Shake, I spent several years at LinkedIn working across editorial, creator partnerships, and community. I helped onboard talent including Lewis Hamilton, worked with executives on communicating with clarity and personality, and ran scaled video programmes that grew engagement across markets. I've worked closely with 500+ high-impact members - from FTSE CEOs to emerging operators - helping them sharpen their story and build influence that moves people. That experience gave me a clear-eyed view of what actually works on LinkedIn and what looks good but drives nothing. I've seen the difference between a profile that performs and one that just exists. Between content that builds trust over time and content that fills a calendar. At Shake, we put that into practice every day. Our clients are B2B founders, executives, entrepreneurs, athletes who want to be known for something specific — and want that reputation to make sales easier, attract the right opportunities, and compound over time. I write about founder-led marketing, LinkedIn strategy, and how executives can build a presence that's both credible and commercially useful. If that's relevant to where you are right now, follow me or reach out directly.

  • Most leaders treat LinkedIn like a slot machine. (post something, hope it hits, repeat) Then they wonder why they have 20K impressions and zero pipeline. The problem is almost never effort. It's that every post is trying to do the same thing. Or worse, trying to do everything at once. The founders, executives, and leaders I see turning content into real commercial pipeline have something different. They don't just have a posting habit. They have an architecture. Every post has a specific job, and those jobs are usually distinct. Here's how I think about it: 1) Point-of-view posts. These are your top-of-funnel engine. A sharp take on something your industry is getting wrong, a trend you see forming, a belief you hold that others don't. These pull in relevant strangers. Timely newsy reactions + insights tend to work here as well. 2) Operational insight posts. These speak directly to the person who has budget and a problem right now. You are describing the specific pain they are sitting with, and you are showing them you understand it at a level that makes them think "this person gets our situation." These don't go viral. They don't need to. They need to land with 50 of the right decision-makers. 3) Proof posts. Client outcomes, before and afters, the specific result that happened and why. These exist to de-risk the conversation. By the time someone reaches out, they have already seen evidence that you've done this before. The selling happened before the conversation even started. Most people I talk to are stuck on type 1. They are building visibility but not converting it, because there's nothing in the system that bridges attention to trust to action. Or they jump straight to type 3, posting case studies to an audience that doesn't know them yet, and wondering why nobody engages. The system is what connects them. Point of view builds the room. Operational insight earns the nod. Proof closes the gap. This is the core of what we build at Shake Content. Not more content. Better architecture.

  • Viktor gave me back 6 hours this week. I gave him three jobs. By Friday, I started to get the whole "AI employee" thing. We already use plenty of AI tools. Everyone has something that writes, researches or summarises when you ask it to. And for the first couple of days, that's basically how I used Viktor too. I'd ask him for something, get an answer, move on. I wasn't particularly impressed. Then I started giving him actual jobs. The thing nobody tells you about AI at work: the real value isn't the writing. For me, it's all the stuff around it. The admin, the prep, the things I'm not great at. I do strategy, storytelling, video, founder positioning. That's what I'm good at. Inbox management, meeting prep, prospect research... that's the stuff that piles up while I'm doing the actual work. So here's what Viktor does for me now: Every morning, he sends me a brief with cultural moments, conversations and ideas I can turn into a timely LinkedIn post or meme. For sales, I give him a prospect and get back the research I'd normally spend an hour pulling together myself. What they're posting, how often, what's working, where we might have an interesting angle, plus relevant Shake work we can reference. Then there's the admin. Inbox triage and draft replies, meeting prep based on who I'm speaking to and our previous conversations, and turning call transcripts into notes and actions. And it's already spreading beyond me. Our content strategy team handed him the research: what a client's industry is arguing about this week, what their competitors are posting. They now start a strategy session with a full picture instead of 20 open tabs. None of this sounds huge on its own. Together, it saved me 6 hours this week. That's time I spent with clients, being creative and doing sales. The parts of my job I actually want to be doing. I'm not technical at all either. Setting Viktor up was basically just chatting to him in Slack. I told him what I needed and went from there. If you can send a Slack message, you can use Viktor. And that's where the "AI employee" framing started to make sense to me. A chatbot waits for you to explain everything again. Viktor already has the context. One needs a prompt. The other already knows the brief. Hire viktor.com for your team. $100 in credits included, no card.
