Working on a live plant is a different level of responsibility. This is the construction of Tank B, a 20,000 bbls crude storage tank. Tank A beside it is already in service and containing crude. Because of the proximity, every spark and flame becomes a serious risk. We had to set up a proper fire blanket enclosure to fully shield the hot work area and contain sparks during cutting and welding. No shortcuts. No assumptions. On a live facility, safety isn’t just about following procedure it’s about understanding the real consequences if something goes wrong.
