  • It’s time we talk about the black hole of job applications. You find a vacancy that aligns perfectly with your skill set. You spend hours tweaking your CV, ensuring your quality assurance and development experience shines through, and you hit submit with high hopes. And then... nothing. Not next week, not next month, not ever. It is incredibly frustrating to see companies actively promoting their open vacancies while completely ignoring the people taking the time to apply. Rejection is a natural part of professional growth, and candidates can handle a "no." What is exhausting to handle is the silence. When companies fail to send even a standardized automated rejection email, it sends a clear message about how they value people's time. Acknowledging an applicant's effort is the bare minimum of professional respect. If your company has the bandwidth to post a job across multiple platforms, it should have the bandwidth to set up an automated status update for the candidates who apply. Would love to hear from recruiters on this, what is the biggest bottleneck preventing companies from sending basic status updates? And to my fellow job seekers, how do you mentally move on when a company completely ghosts you? #JobSearch #CandidateExperience #Recruitment #EmployerBranding #Hiring #TechCareers #JobSeekers #TechJobs #Professionalism #HR
