My tech tabs are about to get busy again. The past few days have been filled with responsibilities that needed my attention, leaving me with less time than usual to work on some of my tech goals. But things are finally settling down, and I'm almost back to having the time and space I need. There are cybersecurity concepts I want to explore, AI tools I want to experiment with, projects I want to work on, and professional connections I want to build. And honestly, I'm looking forward to all of it. The next few days should be interesting. By the way, what's something exciting you've been working on in tech lately? Advice to remember: Sometimes, making progress starts with creating enough room to focus on what matters. #Cybersecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #TechCommunity #CareerGrowth
My browser has fewer tech tabs open than usual these days. Not because I've run out of things to learn, but because a few other responsibilities have been taking up my time. It's funny how you can have a whole list of things you want to explore, from cybersecurity concepts to AI tools, and still struggle to find the time to sit down and properly work on them. I've got quite a few things on my mind that I'm looking forward to trying out. Thankfully, my schedule should be clearing up soon. And when it does, there'll be more experimenting, more practical learning, and hopefully a few interesting things worth sharing here. By the way, what's one tech skill or tool you've been meaning to explore but haven't found the time for? Advice to remember: Having a plan is good, but making time to execute it is where the real work begins. #Cybersecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #TechCommunity #LearningInPublic
Imagine hosting your website on AWS or Microsoft Azure, only to discover that your customers' information has been exposed. Your first thought might be: "How did this happen? Isn't the cloud provider supposed to secure everything?" Well, not exactly. This is where the Cloud Shared Responsibility Model comes in. Cloud security is a responsibility shared between the cloud provider and the customer. Here's how it generally works: 🔹 The cloud provider secures the cloud: Physical data centres, underlying hardware, and core infrastructure. 🔹 You secure what you put in the cloud: Your data, user permissions, application configurations, and other security controls depending on the service you're using. For example, if you accidentally make a cloud storage bucket publicly accessible, the cloud provider's secure infrastructure won't automatically prevent your data from being exposed. The cloud can be secure while your configuration isn't. And that's why understanding cloud security is becoming increasingly important for developers, cybersecurity professionals, and organisations adopting cloud technologies. Advice to remember: Moving your data to the cloud doesn't mean transferring all responsibility for its security. Before today, did you know that cloud security was a shared responsibility? #CloudSecurity #Cybersecurity #AWS #MicrosoftAzure #CloudComputing #InformationSecurity
