Here's a deal I kiIIed after 3 months of negotiations. Am I being overkiII? Maybe. But clients like this always end up becoming problems later down the line. We had 5+ calls, 10+ email threads, 3 different Slack channels, and probably over 100 conversations. Throughout that, I had created samples, audited his page, creates presentations... the whole 9-yards. After 90 days, our team finally got a verbal "yes" and we sent out the contract. Which was countered with a strange list of demands. - half now, half later - manual invoicing - no late payment fees There's were all the things we agreed to throughout our convos. So when I got this, I voided the contract and kicked them out of our Slack. Immediately. Advice for my fellow ghostwriters: If a lead is begging for discounts and refusing to get on board with your systems... RUN.
2 months ago, I met with an older guy (roughly 70) who was struggling to get into the Zoom call. Called his phone and it felt... way more natural. So I've been defaulting to this with everyone. Buyers seem laid back when cameras are off. My sales are 1.5X higher. Which makes me wonder... does anyone LIKE Zoom calls? Or should we all just revert back to phone calls?
This is so bizarre to me. ICYMI: Erudite dropped SaaSpocalypse.win (it's Mortal Kombat for SaaS) and we've had over 100 signups in the past week. It's free-to-play so we make $0 from it. All for fun. You can play as ZoomInfo and whoop Apollo. Or HubSpot vs. Salesforce. We've got 120+ characters. And up until the past 24 hours, no one had a problem with it. But a handful of folks are, for some reason, upset we've included their company as a playable character. Nonsense. We've had a few legal teams reach out to stop us. You people need to take a chill pill. PS We're dropping our first in-game tournament next week. And the first place winner gets over $750 worth of SaaS for free! So stay tuned for that.
