  • I'm excited to share that I recently joined Amazon as a Program Manager Intern in their Barcelona office. I'll be supporting the GES (Global Engineering Services) EU Launch Team over the next few months. Looking forward to this opportunity and all the people I'm going to work with!

  • 🇨🇭Zurich is known for robotics. But many of its youngest companies are still easy to miss. 🤖Companies such as RIVR, ANYbotics and Wingtra already attract international attention. This list looks one stage earlier: I mapped ten younger robotics companies across the wider Zurich ecosystem. These teams are currently navigating pilots, early deployments or their first commercial phase: 1. Flink Robotics 2. roboa 3. Tethys Robotics 4. Borobotics AG 5. FireDrone 6. Witty Machines 7. Bubble Robotics 8. ORCA Dexterity 9. LAYERED 10. Impact Build What stood out to me is not one particular technology, but the range of practical problems these companies are addressing. Their applications span parcel logistics, confined-space inspection, underwater operations, geothermal drilling, firefighting, food packaging, offshore monitoring, dexterous manipulation and construction. What I’m watching now is which of these teams can turn technical progress and promising pilots into repeatable deployments and lasting customer demand. In the latest Seed Radar Europe article, I explain what each company does, where it currently stands and why it is worth watching. Which early-stage robotics company from the Zurich ecosystem would you add?

  • 🇨🇭 Zurich is quietly building a new generation of dual-use and defence startups. From underwater mine detection to autonomous cargo drones and counter-drone systems, a small group of young companies is starting to operate across both civilian and military markets. I mapped seven of them across the wider Zurich ecosystem: 1. Bubble Robotics 2. Avientus 3. Tethys Robotics 4. CDDS 5. Ascento 6. Subatron What stood out to me is how different the products are. Underwater robots for offshore inspection and mine detection. Cargo drones for commercial and military logistics. Counter-drone systems protecting critical infrastructure and defence assets. Simulation software used across emergency response and military training. The common thread is that the civilian and defence use cases often rely on the same core technology. That is what makes dual-use particularly interesting to me. These companies can build around real industrial demand while opening a second market in security and defence. What I’m watching now is which teams can turn early pilots, government testing and technical progress into repeatable deployments on both sides of that market. In the latest Seed Radar Europe article, I look at each company, what makes it genuinely dual-use and where it currently stands. 📢 Several of these teams are also hiring right now, so if you’re looking to work in dual-use, autonomy or defence tech around Zurich, they’re worth checking out. Which Zurich-based dual-use startup would you add?
