Johnny Otto is a Los Angeles-based AI artist, filmmaker, creative technologist, and visual storyteller specializing in generative AI commercials, e-commerce videos, innovative brand storytelling, and custom AI-powered creative tools. Through his studio, OTTO AI, Johnny combines cinema-grade storytelling with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to produce elegant, high-impact content for premium brands across wellness, beauty, automotive, fragrance, beverages, watches, accessories, and luxury commerce. His work is designed for digital campaigns, product launches, social media, online storefronts, and direct-to-consumer advertising. Drawing on a rich background in illustration, filmmaking, and narrative creation, Johnny personally oversees the complete script-to-screen lifecycle for every project, from creative development and world building to audiovisual synthesis, editing, and final post-production. Whether creating cinematic beauty spots, luxury fragrance films, automotive lifestyle campaigns, wellness product visuals, beverage commercials, or refined accessory and watch content, Johnny brings a polished editorial eye and a strong narrative sensibility to every frame. Beyond filmmaking, Johnny uses Google Build to design custom AI tools that expand the possibilities of digital content creation. These include text-to-speech synthesizers, AI music creation tools, and browser-based creative applications that allow users to generate, shape, and integrate original audio directly into their websites and production workflows. His approach is focused not only on using existing AI platforms, but also on building accessible tools that make advanced generative technology more practical for creators, brands, and independent businesses. To power his own production pipeline, Johnny built XODE, a custom browser-based AI production environment created entirely in vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and connected to the Google AI API. XODE manages the full image-to-video workflow, generating high-resolution still images through Gemini’s image-generation models, transforming them into cinematic video clips through Veo, and organizing the results within a sequenced timeline featuring project bins, generation history, and timecode readouts. The entire system operates through a unified local interface without relying on an additional third-party subscription layer.
