About Laxmi Borah

MBA |Growth & Product Marketing | AI & FemTech | Driving Digital Strategies in UK Startups | CMI Level 7 certified

Hi, I’m Laxmi, a growth and product marketer with 5+ years of experience building digital-first brands across EdTech, FemTech, AI, and startup environments. My work sits at the intersection of growth strategy, content, community, influencer marketing, and brand storytelling. I’ve worked across India, the US, and the UK, helping brands turn audience insights into campaigns that build visibility, trust, and measurable growth. I started my career in fast-growing EdTech startups, where I worked on social media, digital campaigns, influencer-led events, student acquisition, and funnel-based marketing. That experience shaped the way I think today: marketing is not just about creating content it’s about understanding people, building trust, and moving them from awareness to action. At Inito, a US-based FemTech startup, I led YouTube growth and content strategy, helping grow the channel from 500 to 30,000+ subscribers. I worked closely with doctors, creators, and internal teams to produce educational women’s health content that combined SEO, audience psychology, storytelling, and trust-building. I later completed my MBA at Aston Business School, where I deepened my understanding of strategy, business growth, operations, and customer-led decision-making. During this time, I also worked with Parametrix, a digital construction technology company, leading LinkedIn-first brand strategy, content planning, AI-powered content operations, and B2B marketing campaigns. Currently, I work with School of Coding & AI, supporting student onboarding, communication, operations, and growth-related activities in the UK education and technology space. Alongside my professional work, I also freelance with brands and create UGC-style content. This gives me a strong understanding of both sides of modern marketing: the brand side and the creator side. I understand how to build campaigns, but I also understand what makes content feel human, scroll-stopping, and relatable. What I bring: ⭐Growth & product marketing ⭐Content strategy and brand storytelling ⭐Influencer and UGC marketing ⭐Community-led growth ⭐YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and short-form content ⭐AI-powered content operations ⭐CRM, funnels, and audience segmentation ⭐Startup mindset with hands-on execution I’m especially interested in roles where I can combine creativity, strategy, and growth helping brands build stronger communities, communicate better, and turn ideas into campaigns that people actually care about.

  • I found out I was featured on NDTV through a completely random message from a friend in India. She sent me a reel in the morning and said, “Hey, I just saw you on NDTV.” For a few seconds, I genuinely thought she was joking. Then I opened it, watched it again, and there I was. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮, 𝗡𝗗𝗧𝗩 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹. There’s something very strange about creating content on the internet. Most days, you post something from your phone, close the app, and move on with your life. You don’t really know where it travels, who watches it, or what happens to it once it leaves your screen. And then one random morning, you realise that something you created travelled far enough to land on national television. NDTV was definitely not on my content-creator bingo card, which somehow makes the whole thing even more special. I think this was a nice reminder for me to keep putting my work out there, even when I have no idea where it is going. Sometimes the internet takes your work much further than you could have planned. ❤️

  • I don’t want to write a long LinkedIn post. I’m just incredibly grateful that something I created felt relatable enough to travel beyond my own page and be featured by NDTV, The Juggernaut and Mo of Everything. If you’ve ever hesitated to put your ideas out there, let this be your sign to post them. You never know who might be watching. https://lnkd.in/eAA6xJ8H https://lnkd.in/euT7wBj5

  • I made my Instagram public only last year, and there’s still something about it that feels slightly strange to me. Some of my reels now get 8K, 9K, 10K views, and one crossed 13K. It’s not really the number that surprises me. It’s the fact that I have no idea who most of those people are. There are people who have seen my face, heard my voice, watched a part of my day, maybe even formed an opinion about me and I know absolutely nothing about them. Most of them won’t like, comment or follow either, so I’ll never even know they were there. An audience sounds like a group of people you have somehow gathered. The internet is much stranger than that. We talk a lot about building an audience, growing a personal brand and becoming more visible online. We talk much less about what it actually feels like to become visible to people you cannot see. I think that’s the part of having a public profile I’m still getting used to. Every now and then I look at the number and think: I don’t even know 13,000 people. But 13,000 people somehow know a tiny bit about me. #personalbrand
