About Matt Beks

My specialism? Being the first Customer Success hire. 🏗️ Which means I'm comfortable with ambiguity, fast at building trust, and experienced at turning blank-slate CS operations into structured, scalable functions that actually stick. What makes me different: 🎯 My background spans Customer Success, 10 years of hands-on SEO platform experience, and the fast-moving world of AEO/GEO (Answer Engine Optimisation / Generative Engine Optimisation). I've watched AI reshape how brands get found — from the inside, working with the tools and the teams dealing with it in real time. I'm not just aware of the shift, I'm actively upskilling to stay ahead of it. The companies building in this space need CS leaders who can talk to a customer about ROI in the morning and have a credible conversation about AI search visibility in the afternoon. That's the lane I've carved out over the last decade. What I'm known for: ⚡ 🏆 Commercial outcomes from customer relationships — $450K personal referral ARR, 125% NRR, President's Club winner 🌍 Building & scaling EMEA CS from scratch — with limited resources and high expectations 📈 Enterprise account expansion — 300% ARR growth on a single account, consistent focus on multi-year renewals 👥 Hiring & leading high-performing regional CS teams — across UK, Europe and beyond Open to the right conversation: 💬 ✅ Head of Customer Success / Customer Success Director ✅ VP Customer Success — EMEA or Global ✅ SEO Director / Account Director at SEO or AI Search platforms ✅ Senior Account Executive or Sales — I sell from credibility, not pitch decks ✅ Any role at a company building seriously in AEO, GEO or AI search visibility 📍 Based in London | Hybrid & Remote | Available immediately 📩 [email removed] | 07969 112623

  • Ask ChatGPT who the best in your industry is. Is your business in the answer? For the last 5 weeks, I’ve been working through the Searchable AI Search Accelerator (Agency track, Cohort 5) for Two Trees Digital Marketing as we continue to build out our GEO/AEO offering. I’m happy to say I’ve now completed it! Here’s what stuck with me: → AI doesn’t rank pages. It forms opinions from reviews, press, directories and your own site. → You can’t fix what you can’t see. Tracking real buyer questions across AI platforms shows exactly where a brand appears and who’s showing up instead. → It’s closer to reputation than clicks. Anyone promising a neat ROI formula this early is guessing. → Most businesses are invisible for boring, fixable reasons. I’m now building AI search into what we do at Two Trees. Still learning, still testing, and keen to be honest about what works and what doesn’t. Thanks to Chris Donnelly and the Searchable team for a brilliant programe. Found it super useful! Curious what AI says about your business? Drop your industry, URL and location in the comments and I’ll run it for you and you like what you see we can potentially work together!

  • How people choose a family solicitor is changing, and most firms haven’t noticed. Think about how someone found a family solicitor 20 years ago let alone a couple of years ago! They asked a friend. They asked their GP. They flicked through the Yellow Pages or Yell (yeah I know that was a thing kids - queue every Aussie going "No happy Jan" Then Google arrived. People typed “divorce solicitor near me” and picked from the first few results. Then reviews took over. Star ratings, Trustpilot, Google Business Profiles. Now there’s a new step, and the numbers are moving fast. A US consumer survey has asked the same question every year since 2023: have you used ChatGPT to research a lawyer? → 2023: 9% → 2024: 21% → 2025: 28% → 2026: 41.9% That’s more than four times the share in four years. It's crazy and it's going to get geater. Over the same period, the share using Google to research a lawyer fell from 86.7% to 71.9% in a single year. Google is still first. But that’s a big drop in 12 months. The part that stood out most to me is this. In 2025, 94% of people using ChatGPT for this said they’d double-check on Google. In 2026, it was just over 70%. For a growing group, the AI answer isn’t the start of the research. It’s the end of it. Now picture a family law enquiry. Someone is up at 2am and they don't know what to do after they know the divorce is going to happen (been there done that got the t shirt). Someone might type into ChatGPT: “We’re separating and we have two children. Who should I speak to and what happens first?” They get a calm, clear answer. Often with two or three firms named. No scrolling. No comparing ten websites - this is the power of AI Search. Family law is one of the most emotional purchases there is. People want clarity fast even if the courts are not. That’s exactly what AI is built to give. My take for any Family Law firms in the UK or even in the US and elsewhere: → The shortlist is getting shorter. → AI recommends firms based on consistent details, genuine reviews, named expertise and credible mentions elsewhere - this is time to invest in good quality content. → That reputation takes time to build, so the firms starting now get a head start. Honestly it's like brushing your teeth. This isn’t about replacing SEO or paid search (you still need to invest in that as well). It’s about knowing there’s a new place where your next client is forming an opinion of you where are they starting their research. Try it today. Ask an AI tool who the best family solicitors are in your city. Is your firm there? Is what it says accurate? Source: iLawyer Marketing annual consumer survey (2026 wave: 1,110 US adults aged 18 to 65), as reported by RebuttalPR. US data, not specific to family law but still very relevant I reckon!
