Prime Day is over. Most sellers are looking backwards. The best sellers are already looking ahead using Amazon Ads. There are still plenty of buying seasons left in 2026. → Back to School → Halloween → Black Friday → Cyber Monday → Christmas → New Year's One thing I've learned after years of managing Amazon accounts... Seasonal events are rarely won during the event itself. They're won in the weeks leading up to it. I still see brands making the same mistake every year. → Waiting until demand spikes to test campaigns. → Raising budgets before knowing what actually converts. → Trying to optimize while CPCs are climbing. Instead... → Pick one hero product. → Make sure your listing is converting. → Validate your Sponsored Products campaigns. → Understand which search terms are driving sales. Once that foundation is working, then expand with Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Products Videos. By the time the seasonal rush arrives... You shouldn't be paying to learn. You should be paying to scale. Prime Day is behind us. The next seasonal event starts today for the brands that prepare early. What seasonal event are you planning for next? Your conversion rate is lying to you. I see brands celebrating a 20%+ CVR all the time. But when we dig deeper... They're converting the wrong people. Here's what I mean: A listing with a 25% CVR and 100 visitors generates 25 orders. A listing with a 15% CVR and 1,000 visitors generates 150 orders. The second listing wins every time. → Higher sales → Higher rank → More reviews → More market share Everyone obsesses over conversion rate. They're missing the point. The goal isn't the highest CVR. The goal is to maximize qualified traffic while maintaining a strong conversion rate. That's why we rarely look at CVR by itself. We look at: → CTR → Sessions → CVR → Organic rank → TACoS Because ranking only matters if the shopper buys once they land. And conversion only matters if enough shoppers are landing. Fix your CTR. Fix your CVR. Then scale traffic. That's where the real growth happens. What's the first metric you check when reviewing an Amazon listing? 👇🏻
Amazon Sellers in Canada, I have some thoughts… Amazon Ads has an AI Image Generator built directly into the Ads console, so I decided to put it to the test. I used the same daily facial moisturizer and started with an intentionally basic prompt: “Create a nice lifestyle image for this face moisturizer.” The result? It understood the assignment... kind of. It created a nice skincare lifestyle image, but in some of the outputs it didn’t even properly feature the actual product I selected. So I tried again, this time treating the prompt like an actual creative brief: “Create a premium lifestyle advertising image for this daily facial moisturizer. Keep the selected product packaging accurate and unchanged. Make the actual product the hero of the image, positioned prominently in the foreground with the label clearly visible. In the background, show a woman applying a small amount of moisturizer to her cheek during her morning skincare routine in a bright, modern bathroom. Use warm natural morning light, realistic skin texture, soft shadows and shallow depth of field. Keep the model slightly out of focus so attention stays on the product. Leave clean negative space on the left for advertising copy.” Much better. But here's what I found interesting: The prompt is only part of it. Inside Amazon Ads, you can also: • Select the actual product • Upload reference images • Choose a visual style • Control lighting • Adjust camera angle • Adjust tone and color • Then layer your prompt on top So you’re not just asking AI to “make an image.” You’re giving it something much closer to a creative brief. And that was probably my biggest takeaway from testing it: AI isn’t replacing creative direction. Creative direction becomes the input. According to research, 38% of Canadian SMBs say AI has supported their expansion into new markets.* For Amazon sellers, I think the opportunity is less about replacing your creative team and more about getting from: Product → Idea → Creative → Variations → Test ...a lot faster. I put together the carousel below showing exactly how I used it, the prompts, the settings, and what Amazon generated. Would you actually run one of these AI-generated creatives in an Amazon Ads campaign?
