Some journeys become a part of who you are. For me, SAARTHI has been one of them. When I got the opportunity to become a SAARTHI (Student Ambassador for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education) Coordinator, the initiative was still in its early stages. Along with Prof. (Dr.) Thipendra P Singh, FIE, SMIEEE we began spreading awareness about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The beginning wasn't easy. Convincing students to attend sessions on academic reforms felt almost impossible. After all, an event about education policies isn't usually a college student's first choice. I still remember reaching out to clubs and student communities, requesting them to attend our events so more people could understand what SAARTHI stood for. What started as an effort to fill seats gradually became a mission I truly believed in. As I learned more about NEP 2020, I realized it wasn't just another policy—it introduced opportunities that could genuinely benefit students. The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), for example, allows students to retain and transfer academic credits, making higher education more flexible and student-centric. Knowing our efforts could help spread awareness about such reforms made every event meaningful. During my second tenure, I had the opportunity to serve as an Advisor. Instead of organizing everything myself, I mentored the next team. Watching them face the same planning, coordination, and last-minute challenges reminded me of my own journey. When we started, there wasn't always someone to guide us. Being able to support others through those same experiences became one of the most rewarding parts of this role. SAARTHI taught me that meaningful initiatives aren't built overnight. Awareness takes time. Trust takes time. Real impact takes time. Every impactful initiative begins with a few people who believe in its purpose long before everyone else does. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr Alka Munjal, Dean Academics, Bennett University, for her constant encouragement and trust. A special thank you to Hardeo Kumar Thakur-SMIEEE Sir for his guidance, patience, and unwavering support. Finally, thank you to every coordinator, volunteer, and teammate who made this journey memorable. Every discussion, every event, every challenge, and every success taught me something valuable. Though I'm moving on from this role, I'll always carry its lessons, friendships, and the belief that even the smallest efforts can create meaningful change. Here's to building, learning, mentoring, and giving back. ❤️ Mishthi Purohit Muskan Garg Priyanshu Singh Vaibhav Gupta Shivam Jain Riya Panwar Anushka Verma Harshil Jain Aditya Arora University Grants Commission (UGC) #SAARTHI #NEP2020 #HigherEducation #Leadership #Mentorship #StudentLeadership #Education #Growth #BennettUniversity#UGC
You can now call yourself on WhatsApp. 💀 Okay… technically, I didn't. But WhatsApp seems to think I did. For the longest time, whenever I was working from my laptop and wanted to video call someone at home, I'd have to send them a Google Meet link. Because WhatsApp Web didn't support video calling. Now that WhatsApp has brought audio & video calling to the Web, I decided to finally try it out. So today, I made 3 video calls to my friends directly from WhatsApp Web. Everything worked perfectly. Until I checked my WhatsApp call history on my phone. And then… my own number was sitting there. 👀 That's when the developer in me got curious. Is this just a contact-resolution/display issue? Is the Web client syncing the call event back to the primary device, but somehow failing to resolve the contact correctly? Or is there something interesting happening in the way WhatsApp handles linked devices, call events and call history? I don't know what's happening internally, so I won't call it a confirmed bug yet. But it's fascinating how a tiny UI inconsistency can make you start thinking about what's happening underneath the UI. WhatsApp — expected behaviour or a small edge case? 👀 Has anyone else noticed this? Spotify's student plan won't last forever... so I did what every developer eventually does. 👨💻🎧 I built my own music streaming app. This project was originally a frontend assessment where I implemented a provided design. While building it, I explored music API integration, app architecture, state management, and created a smooth Android and ios experience. It's not perfect yet, but every project teaches you something and this one taught me a lot. 🚀 📩 DM me if you'd like to try the APK. I'd genuinely love your feedback. #ReactNative #AndroidDevelopment #JavaScript #MobileDevelopment #BuildInPublic #LearningInPublic #iosdevelopment
