About Obot Mkpongke

I help Web3 Founders Turn Their Ideas Into Content People Actually Want to Read | Ghostwriter & Content Strategist

Founders don't struggle to explain their product because they don't understand it. They struggle because they understand it too well. You've spent months inside the product. You know the terminology, the problem, the tiny details, the decisions behind every feature. So when you explain it to someone seeing it for the first time, you forget how much context lives in your head. That's the gap I close. I'm a ghostwriter and content strategist for Web3 founders. I take what you already know and turn it into LinkedIn content that sounds like you, makes sense to people outside your industry, and actually gets read. That means: ✓ Writing in your voice, not a template ✓ Making technical products easier to understand ✓ Building a content strategy around your actual goals ✓ Researching the things you don't have time to explain yourself And I know this works because I've done it myself. I grew my own Web3 education audience from zero to 2,400+ followers in 170 days by doing exactly this: taking complicated blockchain concepts and making them easier to understand. I'm also currently doing the same kind of writing for CherryPay, a Web3 fintech. If your content isn't landing the way your product deserves, send me a DM. Let's talk.

  • Every time I open this app, I get hit with this wave of anxiety. So I decided to take some time off. The peace of mind I've had these past few days ehn… 😂 I'm glad I took the break. In the meantime, I got gifted a proper LinkedIn banner. Someone on here designed one for me for free, and I've been telling this girl thank you for the past week. I just wish she knew how grateful I actually am for it. It's one of the things that reignited my flame to come back here. Thank you so much, Aayushi . I'm deeply grateful. 🤎 I also started writing on Substack! I'd opened the account over a year ago, but social anxiety had other plans for me. I eventually got around to publishing my first article, and I'm loving every bit of it. And no, I'm not dropping the handle in my comments section. 😂 I kinda like how quiet it is over there. I fear that if I start having followers, I'll start writing for the algorithm instead of myself, like I did here on LinkedIn. I still have a lot of sorting out to do when it comes to my personal brand, but… I'll be launching my new banner and PFP next week, so enjoy this one while it lasts. 😅 What have you been up to tho?

  • Some Web3 founders write LinkedIn posts like they're submitting a whitepaper. Let's take this sentence, for example: “Our platform leverages blockchain infrastructure to facilitate seamless, decentralised transactions.” Oya. Imagine you're seeing this for the first time. Do you actually know what the platform does? Let's try that again. “Our platform lets people send money without relying on a traditional middleman.” Same general idea. Much easier to understand. Now, what changed? ➜ We removed unnecessary jargon. Words like “leverages” and “facilitate” add very little here. We can say what we mean directly. ➜ We made the action clearer. “Facilitate transactions” sounds abstract. “Send money” gives the reader something concrete to picture. ➜ We made the sentence easier to process. The reader can focus on understanding the idea instead of decoding the language. And that's a big part of my job as a ghostwriter. I take what you know about your product and find a way to communicate it that makes sense to the person reading. Because your audience shouldn't need a dictionary to understand what you're building. Which version would you rather read? A or B? 👀 A. Our platform leverages blockchain infrastructure to facilitate seamless, decentralised transactions. B. Our platform lets people send money without relying on a traditional middleman. Complex things don't have to sound complicated. 🤎

  • Apple and Google are hiring for Web3-related roles. 👀 And I think founders should pay attention. I know, I know. Two job listings don't mean Web3 is about to take over the world. 😂 But here's the thing tho Apple's hiring for a role that involves payments strategy, with stablecoins and blockchain among its areas of interest. Google, on the other hand, is looking for expertise in institutional blockchain applications, including tokenization and stablecoin payment infrastructure. See the pattern? Payments. Stablecoins. Tokenization. These are areas where blockchain technology is being explored to solve real financial and infrastructure problems. And for founders building in Web3 and fintech, that's sth you ought to be paying attention to Because while everyone is busy debating whether Web3 is dead or alive, companies are still exploring where the technology fits into existing financial systems. The more interesting question, to me, is what these developments could mean for the products we're building. What problems are we solving? Who actually needs these solutions? And how do we make them useful enough for people to care about the technology in the first place? Because the goal isn't just to build something on the blockchain. It's to build something people have a reason to use. Ps. Dyou think a Web3 financial product can achieve mainstream adoption without adapting to the market it's entering? A. Yes B. No
