Talent Advisor & Fractional Head of Talent | Series A-C and Defense | Hiring Strategy, Cleared Search, Process Implementation | Author and Talent Strategist
Build right. Hire right. Give a shit. Most hiring problems are not search problems. They are comp problems, process problems, and scope problems. I fix those, and when the fix requires filling the role, I fill it. I work two ways. Advisory. Hiring plans, comp benchmarking, interview design, and offer strategy for founders and heads of talent who need judgment rather than headcount. Available as a one-time audit, a monthly retainer, or an advisory seat. Fractional and search. I embed with your team, build the recruiting infrastructure, and close the hires that are holding everything up. Current average at EarthDaily Federal is 30-day fills in a cleared environment. The infrastructure is the part most people skip. ATS workflows, sourcing frameworks, scorecards, interview guides, pipeline reporting. I built my own ATS, CRM, and candidate portal from scratch rather than licensing someone else's. When I leave an engagement, the system stays and it works without me. My path was not traditional. TGI Fridays to booking bands to managing tours to 14 years in recruiting. It taught me to spot talent fast, sell with conviction, and treat every search like representation. I operate like an agent. Take care of both sides, protect the brand, close the deal. Currently: Fractional Head of Talent at EarthDaily Federal, geospatial intelligence and defense Fractional Head of Talent at Waveguide, GovCon, TS/SCI full scope Board Member at Underground Admins Strategic Advisor at Jonathan Edward Search 14 years recruiting including TS/SCI cleared roles. PMP certified. Author of Head and Heart: Winning the AI Recruiting War and Unfinished Rooms: Why Great Employees Keep One Foot Out the Door. 53K followers on LinkedIn and 8K subscribers to the Rebel Built newsletter. If your hiring is not working, the fastest thing you can do is have someone tell you why. That is what the audit is for. [email removed] | rebeltalentsystems.com

Please read this: no actual recruiter will ever suggest a paid resume service before submitting you. Ever. They won't send a link to any career or resume services for that matter either. If I think you’re qualified and your resume is totally f’d I’m just going to ask if I can fix it. (Format only or if you're missing explanations of where you have used the skills you've listed if they're not there, I’m not lying for you) And I’m going to send it to you for approval before I submit. No one, not one person ever selling resumes in return for presentation to a client is a real recruiter. Period. If you do this and think you’re a real recruiter please dm me. Let’s hear what the reasoning is. P.S. also recruiters do not find jobs for individuals. reverse recruiters do sometimes but mostly it's a bad model. We work on the jobs our clients/bosses assign us and once in a while we'll pitch individuals that we know are remarkable. I don't believe in reverse recruiting. It relies on jobseekers paying to be placed and a lot of the companies that do it are predatory.
Not for nothing but I’ve booked two screens with 2 pretty tough to get candidates today. They work in SCIFs all week so they don’t have their phones and even when they can schedule time, stuff comes up and they can’t walk out to take a recruiter call. But Saturday’s are different And sent a fair amount of emails while I drink my coffee. Now I’m relaxing before we go look at some houses. Maybe play Fortnite later - this season is pretty fun. Little date night at the Brazilian Steak house later Gym. Laundry no tanning for me thanks The key to success in this job is meeting people where they are, and when they are there. Happy Saturday recruiters.
Bluedot just put the whole thing in my pocket. I live on calls. Client intakes, candidate screens, follow-ups with hiring managers. By Friday I have 20 conversations in my head and maybe a third of the details where they should be. Bluedot AI records and transcribes every one of them. No bot in the room, nothing to upload, done before I close the tab. The part I love the most is the mobile app with AI chat. I'm walking out of a coffee shop and a client texts asking what comp range we landed on two weeks ago. I open the app and ask it. Ten seconds later I have the number, who said it, and the context around it. No scrolling through transcripts. No "let me get back to you when I'm at my desk." Just ask the question and get the answer, from every meeting I've had. For a five-person shop, that's the difference between looking prepared and being prepared. If you're drowning in call notes, try it
