Over $800 trillion sits in global institutional capital. Almost none of it can touch raw crypto. Not because fund managers dislike it. Because a 70% drawdown gets any portfolio manager fired. Watching Jeff Walton (CRO, Strive) break down risk architecture on CNBC’s Crypto Corner made one thing obvious: Institutions aren't waiting for Bitcoin to become stable. They are engineering structured layers on top of it. The product challenge is straightforward: - Raw digital assets offer fixed supply, but extreme volatility. - Institutional balance sheets demand capital preservation and predictable duration. The fix isn't retail speculation. It's structured finance. By building credit and preferred-equity layers over reserve assets, institutions can absorb the wild swings and distribute predictable, institutional-grade yield. First came the open protocol. Now comes the institutional risk plumbing. Kudos to CNBC Bajar and Manisha Gupta on Crypto Corner for skipping the price noise to dissect actual financial architecture. If you lead treasury or finance ops: what stops your firm from adopting digital reserves, volatility, regulatory clarity, or custody risk? Video went on to completely reshape the internet as we know it, yet text, images and video all share one thing in common: you watch, the content plays, and that's the end of it. Shourya Agarwal and the team at Flam are betting the next major content format will be interactive instead. They just closed a $40 million Series B led by QED Investors to build this out globally. What they're actually building: Flicks - watch a video and swap out the person, product or scene while it's still playing Forge - hand an AI an image and modify just one specific element, the shoe, the sofa, the packaging Visual Agents - skip the AI chat box and speak directly to a human-like character that converses and takes real action There's substantial deeptech powering all of this. Flam already holds 15+ patents, and their Visual Agents combine separate models for facial expression, voice, and reasoning to return a response in under two seconds. None of this is just an impressive AI demo either. In six quarters, over 100 enterprises including Google, Reliance and Hyundai have adopted Flam across marketing, product visualisation, learning, entertainment, customer support and sales. That's probably the detail that stands out most. Thousands of AI companies are working on making existing content faster or cheaper to produce. Flam is making a far bigger bet: What if the format of content itself changes entirely? Text gave the world Google. Images gave the world Instagram. Video gave the world YouTube and TikTok. If interactive genuinely becomes the next format, there's likely an entire new category of companies waiting to be built around it. Flam wants to be the platform driving that shift, and $40M suggests plenty of others believe the same thing.
