About Sophie Biggerstaff

Hii, I'm Sophie 🙋‍♀️ I help high-achieving dreamers stop waiting to feel ready, and start writing their own version of success that works for them - in both business and in life. Too many high-achievers leave corporate to build a business. And end up trapped in a job they built themselves, leaving them feeling anything but free - thanks to hustle culture and someone else's idea of what "success" should look like. I know because I did this too. Burned out 4x in the process, and now I have the health scars to prove it. I've been in entrepreneurship since 2020, made multiple 6-figures online, worked from all over the world (currently based in Thailand). I've tried every online business model and personal development tool you could think of and failed more times than I can count, but with a lot of success sprinkled in too... Whether you haven't started yet, or are 0-3 years in business, but feel stuck with taking action because you're not really sure what you want and how to get it, let alone whether it's possible for you - I'll help you get clarity on your direction using strategy, experience, and intuition, to realign your business/life with solid foundations - so they work for you, not feel like you're working for them. I'm on a mission to help the next generation of entrepreneurs bypass hustle culture and re-write their success stories, taking their ideas, expanding them into what's possible, and helping them take the strategic action that brings their business back into alignment with what they actually want, and their version of success. Before I built my own online business, I spent 12 years as a fashion buyer at Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Diesel, and Kate Spade. I loved it until the corporate politics sucked me in and spat me back out. I've worked with 100+ founders across service, ecommerce, and digital product businesses - helping clients go from zero to ~£200k in 9 months. How I can help: → Foundations - course/coaching taking business ideas to launch → 1:1 Strategy Session - clarity on a specific problem/idea → Full Strategy Re-Write - audit and reset for businesses 6 months - 3 years in “Working with Sophie was amazing. I took a break from my business, and it felt overwhelming to come back. I was worried about coming across inauthentic online, but Sophie helped me build a new strategy - she is so sharp and fast. 100% recommend!" David - Healer Get to know me better on my Podcast and Substack named - Working For Me - honest conversations about what building a life-first business actually looks like. 👉 www.itssophiebiggerstaff.com

  • I never, in a million years, thought I would start a business… If you told 2019 Sophie she'd build one using the skills from her corporate career, and it would let her travel the world. She would NOT have believed you! That version of me had no idea skills could be monetised outside a 9-5 job. And had zero self-belief that she was someone who could run her own online business. She believed business owners had to be wealthy, have a physical business, or need loads of investment. Because how was she supposed to know when all she had ever experienced was the 9-5 career she'd been in since she was 16 years old? I didn't go to university, but I had experiences that led me to hold somebody's dream job managing a £380 million fashion business. I travelled the world for work, presented to CEOs of huge global brands, and I was conditioned to believe climbing the ladder was the only path available to me. "Business owner" just wasn't an identity I thought to be possible. And frankly - that was wrong! I can't remember when the shift happened where I decided it was an option for me. I guess when I realised I couldn't go back to my job after quitting my job just before we went into a global pandemic. Instead of deciding I was capable, I was kinda forced to be. So I built a business with the only resources I had available - my existing skills, experience and network. And it worked. It wasn't an "overnight success" because honestly - they don't exist! But within 18 months, I was making consistent $5-7k months. I moved to Bali in year 2, and I haven't stopped building businesses or travelling since… I now recognise that you don't need to BE a "business person" before you start. You become one by starting. And every month you wait for the belief to show up first is another month of Mondays in a job that actually only looks good on paper. There are 10 weeks left of 2026. Imagine starting 2027 with your new online business foundations already underway, instead of going into January with a distant hope that "this year will be the year" you start. In my signature programme Foundations, I'll help you start by: → Taking the skills you already have in your 9-5 and turning them into a business that works for your life right now and where you want it to go. → Working through any limiting beliefs you have that have been holding you back from taking action. → Giving you my honest feedback on your ideas in the live support sessions, intentionally in small groups. I only accept a limited number of people into the programme at one time, and I'm enrolling action takers now who want to be making money with their own online business by early 2027! Find out how Foundations can help you start an online business via the link in the comments.

  • I don't want to be a "digital nomad" anymore. But before anyone makes any assumptions... No, I'm not moving back to the UK after years of living this lifestyle. And tbh, I most likely never will! I've been a digital nomad full-time for more than 5 years now. I've lived abroad on and off since 2014. Travel and moving around is literally just part of my life; I doubt that will ever fully end. However, something has definitely changed for me in the past month since leaving Koh Phangan and moving up to Chiang Mai. When I got here, I genuinely thought I was only staying 2 weeks. Somehow that ended with me signing a 3-month lease, and there's a good chance I'll stay longer than that. Because in those first couple of weeks, I had a very big realisation. I have NO desire to bounce around from place to place anymore. That was so much fun for me a couple of years ago, before I settled on Koh Phangan for the past ~2 years. But that lifestyle no longer serves my life goals because I'm in an era of life now where… → I don't want to keep starting over every month. → For health reasons, I have to stick to the same meals day in and day out. → I need convenience and simplicity to reduce my mental load. → I want community that I am part of creating, not just passing through. → I want a routine that doesn't have to start again every time I land somewhere new. So I've officially retired as a nomad and become a… Slowmad. (Yes, that's a real word!) A slowmad is someone who still lives location-independent, but stays in one place for months, maybe even years, instead of weeks. I already feel like I have homes pocketed all over the world. And right now Chiang Mai is one of them. After that, let's see, but honestly, this feels like the best decision for my life, my business, my relationships, my health! I left my corporate 9-5 job in 2020, so I'd have the freedom to live wherever I want. I'm still living that dream, just a new version of it! And that's the whole point - building a life and business that works for you means you get to change things when you enter a new season of life. Side note - any nomads/slowmads/expats/locals in Chiang Mai? Let's grab a matcha! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi, I'm Sophie! • I've been in Chiang Mai for a little over 1 month now. And I can't believe how different… → I feel → I think → I act A month ago, when I left Koh Phangan, with no plan, in all honesty, I was exhausted. After months of navigating health flare-ups, food intolerances, and big life decisions, I had minimal energy and brain power left to work. I felt like I was just about hanging on in a never-ending battle tbh. It took me a while to admit it, but the island was no longer the right environment for me. Hence my ultimate decision to leave! But, since putting myself in an environment that is actually supportive of my health challenges, the routine I want to operate on, the people I want to surround myself with, and the convenience of being back in a "city"… → My focus is back. → My energy has returned. → My routine is consistent. → My body has stopped feeling like it's under attack constantly. → My mind is clear. → Opportunities are coming to me in abundance. So I'm reminded ONCE AGAIN of the importance of environment. Just like a plant, we cannot stay in pots we've outgrown. Or we can, but… life will likely become a lot more difficult! Most people put their lack of motivation, or inability to stay in one lane, down to a discipline problem. But have you ever asked yourself if that's actually true? I know I can be disciplined when my environment supports it. And it's quite clear in my case that when I've changed my environment, the "discipline" part has taken care of itself. I feel like this is a lesson I keep relearning time and time again, every time I move. And every time it just gets better and better. Knowing when to walk away from something that isn't serving you is a big part of building a life and business that works for you. It's not just what you do; it's where you do it and who you do it with. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi, I'm Sophie!
