  • Odisha Approves Historic ₹15,948 Crore Power Transmission Expansion Plan The state cabinet approved a massive 15,948 Crore Rupee expansion to rebuild its electrical grid under the Mukhya Mantri Shakti Bikash Yojana. To fund this project, the government is putting in 4,785 Crore Rupees as state equity, while the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited is borrowing 11,164 Crore Rupees from commercial markets. This huge money push is built to handle rising industrial power demands and support clean energy growth across the state. For the very first time, Odisha is stepping into ultra-high voltage power lines by building 765 kV grid substations in Khuntuni, Duburi, and Kolabira. The overall expansion also adds two 400 kV substations and ten 220 kV substations, taking the total count of 220 kV substations to 75. These new lines will finally complete power ring networks around heavy industrial zones in Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Bargarh, preventing major manufacturing blackouts. Because of this project, the total power handling capacity of the state grid will jump from 29,889 MVA to 63,364 MVA. The network is specifically planned to carry clean solar energy generated from huge floating solar farms at Hirakud and Indravati reservoirs. To manage this modern grid, the state is bringing in artificial intelligence for line inspections, updating 79 old substations, and running operations through four main control centers in Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Jharsuguda, and Balasore. A strong power grid always comes before heavy factory expansion. By building this high-capacity grid today, Odisha is setting the base to pull in massive industrial investment and secure its long-term economic future.

  • Novamax Technologies Bets Big on DMIC with ₹200 Crore Manufacturing Unit Novamax Technologies is making a big move by investing ₹200 crore to build a brand new manufacturing unit along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. This step shows how local brands are expanding fast to meet growing market demands. For a long time, the company focused on air coolers. Now, this heavy investment will help them enter new markets like air conditioners and washing machines. Expanding into major consumer electronics is a smart way to grow business revenue and capture a bigger market share. Location plays a key role in manufacturing success. Setting up near a major industrial corridor gives the brand better logistics, easier transport, and faster access to raw materials and distributors across the country. This new project will also boost the local economy by creating around 800 direct and indirect jobs over the next two years. It shows how industrial expansion builds stronger supply chains and creates real value for communities. Seeing Indian companies scale up their production and compete in larger markets is a great sign for the manufacturing industry. Big moves like this set a strong base for long-term brand success and business growth.
