What can be better than getting a free ticket to an event you wanted to attend but couldn't afford at the moment? Nothing, for sure :) Until last week, I wasn't planning to go to the WAWTECH Summer pre-party, simply because I thought it was an irrational decision. I had just come back from Ukraine, started a new job, and wanted to save some money before my first salary. But if you really want something, even the Universe will help you, as they say :) And this is my story. Because last week, completely unexpectedly, I got an email from Djinni.co, my favorite job search platform (which now finally has a mobile app — that was another dream of mine), saying that as an active user, I had a chance to get a free ticket to WAWtech Summer. I filled out the form and forgot about it, but the next day my free ticket was waiting in my inbox. So I quickly bought train tickets to Warsaw and asked the girls, Yuliia Pavlovska and Ilona K., if I could join them. What followed was an early train on Saturday morning, lots of talking, a complicated taxi order (please, don't ask), heavy rain, sunshine, and just a lot of fun at the event, surrounded by people from IT — whom, as you know from my other posts, I love! And instead of any conclusions — I'm already planning my autumn. Because the pre-party was great, but now I also want to attend the main event: WAWtech on November 26–27. Fingers crossed I'll manage to be there as well! #wawtech
What I found out about myself this year — I love being around inspiring people. Thanks to the Projector Global Community, it's becoming a new habit of mine to leave my laptop at home after the working day and go out to a new location to meet people with different expertise. This time, the meetup was at a food court called Huta, located on the grounds of a formerly factory in Wroclaw. I love when old and abandoned places get a second life — that's what inspires me, aside from great people :) Since this was the third event by Projector that I attended, I wasn't as shy as the first time, because I already knew some people. Now it feels like meeting old friends after a pause. Grateful for that! And if you're looking for networking events, I definitely recommend to subscribe to the Projector Global Community. They do great stuff across the globe, so there might be something in your city too!
Guess what? I started my third educational course this year — this time from Gismart. Back in May, I received an email saying I'd been selected for the Digital Marketing course. After months of unpleasant news, it felt like getting a long-awaited gift. Yesterday the course officially started, and I attended the first live lecture with Iryna Moskalenko. What can I say? I'm a little overwhelmed with the amount of new information, but at the same time, I smiled through the whole lecture and felt so cheerful, like it wasn't a lecture at all 🙂 I need to Google lots of new terms and take some handwritten notes, but I feel like it's going to be a great two weeks ahead!
