I remember meeting a Lagos fashion vendor last year. She had 47,000 Instagram followers. WhatsApp status views hitting 3,000 every morning. She was moving inventory. People wanted what she was selling. She told me: "Victor, do you know how hard I work every day? Every night around 11pm I'm still on my phone working rather than resting." From her story, this is how her day looked: A customer DMs her: "How much for the ankara set?" They negotiate. They agree. "Send your account number." She sends it. Silence for 2 hours. She asks "Did you make the transfer?" More silence. She moves on to the next customer. Same process. Repeat 40 times. Out of 40 conversations, maybe 15 actually pay. She then have to cross-checks her bank app one by one. Manually types each order into a WhatsApp message to her delivery guy. Screenshots each payment. Replies to each customer: "Confirmed! Arrives in 2-3 days." 40 conversations. 15 payments. 15 confirmations. 15 delivery notifications. 15 manual entries. Every single day. On top of sourcing, content, ads and suppliers. By 11pm, she's exhausted but still can't rest. Not the satisfying exhaustion of someone who built something. The hollow exhaustion of someone doing work a system should be doing. And the customers who didn't pay? She forgot to follow up on most of them. Not because she didn't care. But because 40 conversations were running simultaneously in her head with no system tracking any of it. Conservatively, 20-30% of potential revenue walking away every month. Not to competition. Not to bad products. But to an unmanaged chaos. This is not just her story, but thousands of Nigerian vendors right now. => The skincare seller in Abuja with 60 WhatsApp messages daily. => The hair vendor in Port Harcourt who hasn't had a day off in 8 months. => The food entrepreneur in Enugu whose "business" has become a second full-time job she never applied for. They're not struggling because they lack hustle. Nigerian entrepreneurs have more hustle than almost anyone on earth. They're struggling because they are doing manually what should be running automatically. It's 2026, humanity has advanced past that. They are the system, which could have been automated. And when the system is a human being, the system gets tired, misses orders, forgets follow-ups, burns out, and eventually starts to wonder if the business is even worth it. Revenue doesn't just come from getting more customers. It comes from actually capturing the customers you already have. => Every unanswered DM is a lost sale. => Every forgotten follow-up is money that moved to a competitor. => Every hour spent copy-pasting order details is an hour not spent growing. I'm building something for them. More on that soon. But for now, if this story sounds familiar, I'd like to hear yours. How many hours a day are you spending on order management, follow-ups and customer confirmations? Drop a number in comments. #Entrepreneurship #Ecommerce #Automation #Founder
No AI system today can cryptographically prove what it generated, when, or under what conditions. We have SSL/TLS for web traffic. Code signing for software. Audit trails for financial transactions. AI has none of this, and it's producing more content daily than the entire pre-AI internet did in a decade. This isn't a future problem. Courts, hospitals, and financial regulators are already hitting this wall, with no way to verify what an AI system actually said or did. I wrote about why this is one of the most important unsolved infrastructure problems in AI right now, and what actually solving it requires technically. Would love to hear from anyone working on AI safety, cryptography, or compliance, this is a problem worth solving together.
I’ve noticed many people make the wrong assumption about AI responses: a good AI response isn't necessarily the most detailed response. Sometimes, the best response is the one that understands the user's actual need and gets there with the least unnecessary friction. Every time I evaluate AI output, I find myself looking beyond: • Is it factually correct? • Is the grammar good? • Does it follow the prompt? I also ask: • Did it understand the context? • Did it answer the actual problem? • Is the level of detail appropriate? • Would this genuinely help the person? The difference between "correct" and "useful" is where AI evaluation gets interesting.
