I built BotraAI 🚀 because I kept running into the same problem. Whenever I wanted to add an AI chatbot to a website, I had to choose between tools that felt too complex, too expensive, or simply weren't the experience I wanted. So I decided to build one myself. Over the past few months, that's what I've been doing—nights, weekends, and every spare hour I had. Today, BotraAI is finally live. It lets businesses create an AI agent that's trained on their own website, answer customer questions, book appointments, and hand conversations over to a human when needed. I'm sure there are things I'll improve. That's part of building in public. 3 months, 100+ applications, several interviews, still looking for my next opportunity. I didn't expect my job search to take this long. I'm a Computer Science graduate based in Karachi, with 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. I started my career as a freelance Full-Stack Developer on Fiverr, where I completed 200+ orders and reached Level 2, working with international clients on web applications, APIs, SaaS products, integrations, and more. I then joined a software house in Karachi as a Full-Stack Developer, where I spent 3 months working on production applications and gaining experience in a professional development environment. After that, I joined a US-based startup as a Founding Software Engineer. I spent around 10 months there, working on several production products, including multi-tenant SaaS platforms and AI-powered applications. As a founding engineer, I worked across the entire development lifecycle — architecture, frontend, backend, databases, APIs, AI integrations, deployment, debugging, and production issues. I also worked directly with customers to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve the products. Unfortunately, the startup's project pipeline changed after the founder relocated, and my position was eventually affected. I've now been unemployed for around 3 months. During this time, I've applied to 100+ positions, tailoring my resume for individual roles rather than sending the same CV everywhere. I've reached several interview stages, but I still haven't been able to convert one into an offer. And honestly, I'm trying to figure out what I could be doing differently. I have real production experience. I've worked with international clients, built products from scratch, worked as a founding engineer, and spent a lot of time working with full-stack technologies and AI/LLM systems. But I'm still looking. So I'm opening this up to my network: If you're hiring for Full-Stack, Backend, Software Engineering, or AI/LLM roles in Karachi, Pakistan, or remotely, I'd love to connect.
