B2B creator sponsorships are priced in five main ways: a flat fee per post, clicks (CPC), impressions (CPM), leads, or a monthly retainer. A flat fee per post is the easiest to compare and budget, because you see the price before booking and measure results with your own analytics. That is the model Naano uses.
This guide compares the models on the same terms: what you pay for, when the price is known, who carries the risk if a post underperforms, and what you need to measure it. It is written for B2B marketing and growth leads buying creator posts on LinkedIn and X.
What are the main ways to pay a B2B creator?
Every creator deal is a version of one of these five models. The real difference between them is which event triggers payment and when the final cost is known.
| Model | What you pay for | When the cost is known | Who carries performance risk | What it needs to work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flat fee per post | One published sponsored post with agreed deliverables | Before booking | Mostly the brand | A clear brief and your own conversion tracking |
| Click-based (CPC) | Each tracked click on the creator's link | After the campaign | Mostly the creator | Click data both sides trust |
| Impression-based (CPM) | Each thousand impressions of the post | After the campaign | Shared | Impression data both sides accept |
| Lead or sale-based (CPL, affiliate) | Each lead or sale attributed to the creator | After conversion | Mostly the creator | An attribution rule both sides accept |
| Retainer | A set number of posts or a period of presence | Before the contract | The brand | A longer commitment to a creator you trust |
The headline price is not the main variable. What matters is where in the funnel the money changes hands, and whether the event that triggers it can be measured cleanly.
How does flat-fee pricing work?
With a flat fee, you agree a fixed price for one sponsored post before it is written. The creator owes you the post and the agreed deliverables. Reach, clicks and pipeline are not guaranteed.
The logic is that the creator is paid for the work they control: understanding your product, writing a post their audience will read, and publishing it to that audience. Clicks and leads also depend on things the creator does not control, such as your offer, your landing page and your sales follow-up.
Flat fees have three practical strengths for B2B buyers:
- The cost is known upfront. You can plan a budget without waiting for a campaign to finish.
- Creators are easy to compare. Price, audience and deliverables sit side by side before you book.
- There is no billing dispute about tracking. The invoice does not depend on whether a link kept its tracking parameters.
The weakness is real too: a post that lands flat costs the same as one that performs. The section below covers how teams reduce that risk.
For reference, here is what B2B creator posts transacted at in the most recent Naano Index snapshot [Naano Index snapshot, 11 August 2026, n=300 bookings, 14 June – 11 August 2026]:
| Creator followers | Median transacted price per post |
|---|---|
| Under 5,000 | €84 |
| 5,000–10,000 | €180 |
| 10,000–25,000 | €300 |
| 25,000–50,000 | €588 |

How does click-based (CPC) pricing work?
With click-based pricing, the brand pays for each tracked click on the creator's link. The appeal is obvious: cost is tied to an outcome, and a weak post bills less.
In B2B, the model runs into three problems.
- It needs click data both sides trust. Links get copied, shared in messages and opened in apps that drop tracking parameters. On Naano's own bookings, 62 of 89 completed bookings in the latest Naano Index snapshot carry any click event. A price that depends on data that partial is hard to defend for the brand and for the creator.
- A click is rarely the buyer's goal. B2B buyers often read a post, remember the brand and come back later through search or a direct visit. Click billing pays for the first behaviour and misses the second.
- The creator carries risks they cannot control. Under click pricing, the creator is paid less when your landing page or offer is weak. Established creators either price that risk in or decline the deal.
Naano earlier billed brands €1.90–2.90 per qualified click and retired that model in July 2026, for the reasons above. Clicks are still tracked on every post, but they measure the campaign rather than set its price.
What about CPM, lead-based and retainer pricing?
CPM prices reach. It depends on impression numbers that come from the platform's analytics, usually shared by the creator as a screenshot or export. It fits awareness goals more than pipeline goals.
Lead or sale-based pricing works best when the conversion happens close to the click, as in low-priced self-serve products. With B2B buying committees and sales cycles of several months, agreeing which creator caused which deal becomes a negotiation.
Retainers pay a creator for a set number of posts or a period of presence, such as an ambassador program. They make sense once a creator has proven the fit with your audience. As a first purchase, they commit budget before you know whether the audience converts. Single posts are the cheaper test.
How do you reduce the risk of a flat fee?
The risk of a flat fee is paying for a post that does not perform. You cannot remove that risk, but you can reduce it before booking:
- Choose creators on audience fit, not follower count. A creator whose audience matches your buyers is worth more than a larger general audience. See how to vet a B2B LinkedIn creator's audience.
- Book several posts, not one. One post is a sample of one. A small set across several creators shows what the channel can do for your offer.
- Budget on published posts, not booked ones. Of bookings that reached a final state, 30.4% of those under €200 ended in a live post, against 64.6% of those above €600 [Naano Index snapshot, 11 August 2026]. The creator campaign budget planner builds this into the plan.
- Plan for timing. The median time from booking to published post is 8.0 days, and the 90th percentile is 14.1 days [Naano Index, n=89]. See how long a B2B creator campaign takes.
- Measure with your own conversion events. Give each creator a tracked link and record demo requests or sign-ups in your own analytics. The B2B creator campaign tracking template sets this up.
How does a flat creator fee compare with LinkedIn Ads?
LinkedIn Ads runs around €15–25 per click for mid-market B2B SaaS [LinkedIn B2B Marketing Benchmark, 2025]. A flat creator fee has no fixed cost per visit, so the comparison has to be calculated after the campaign.
For example, if a €300 post sends 100 visits recorded in your own analytics, its effective cost is €3 per visit. If it sends 15 visits, it is €20 per visit, in the LinkedIn Ads range. These numbers are hypothetical: the point is to calculate the figure from your data, with the same lead definition for both channels. LinkedIn Ads vs creator-led growth walks through that test.
Why does Naano use a fixed price per post?
Naano is a B2B creator marketplace on LinkedIn and X, with 3,300+ B2B creators in 103 countries (database count, 20 October 2026), mostly founders, operators and senior specialists. Its pricing follows from the points above:
- Each creator sets a fixed price per sponsored post, visible before you book.
- Self-Serve costs €0 a month. You pay for the posts you book, with no minimum and no retainer.
- Managed Campaigns, where the Naano team runs the campaign, start from €3,000 per month plus a creator budget from €6,000 per month, with a three-month minimum. See Managed Campaigns.
- Every creator gets a tracked link. Naano reports clicks, identified companies and leads per creator.
- Naano does not publish a network cost per lead, effective CPC or click-through rate, because tracked-link coverage is too partial for a network figure. Teams measure pilots with their own conversion events.

FAQ
What is the difference between CPC and flat-fee creator pricing?
With a flat fee, you pay a fixed price for one sponsored post, agreed before it is written, and you measure the results yourself. With CPC pricing, you pay for each tracked click on the creator's link, so the final cost is only known after the campaign. A flat fee puts the performance risk on the brand; CPC moves most of it to the creator and depends on click data both sides trust.
How does Naano price sponsored creator posts?
On Naano, each creator sets a fixed price per sponsored post, shown before you book. Self-Serve costs €0 a month: you pay for the posts you book, with no minimum and no retainer. Managed Campaigns, where the Naano team runs the campaign, start from €3,000 per month plus a creator budget from €6,000 per month, with a three-month minimum. Each creator gets a tracked link, and Naano reports clicks, identified companies and leads per creator.
Did Naano use click-based pricing before?
Yes. Naano earlier billed brands €1.90–2.90 per qualified click and retired that model in July 2026. It now uses a fixed price per post set by each creator. Click data still matters for measurement, but it no longer sets the price, because tracked-link coverage is too partial to bill on: 62 of 89 completed bookings in the latest Naano Index snapshot carry any click event.
Which creator pricing model is best for B2B pipeline goals?
For most B2B teams, a flat fee per post is the most practical starting point: the price is known before booking, creators are easy to compare, and you measure pipeline with your own conversion events. Click- or lead-based pricing sounds safer but depends on attribution both sides accept, which is hard with long B2B sales cycles. Retainers suit a creator you have already tested.
How much does a sponsored B2B creator post cost?
In the Naano Index snapshot of 11 August 2026 (300 bookings, 14 June to 11 August 2026), the transacted median was €84 per post for creators under 5,000 followers, €180 at 5,000–10,000, €300 at 10,000–25,000 and €588 at 25,000–50,000. Prices vary with audience size, niche and deliverables, and each creator sets their own.
