About Adrian Shiel

LinkedIn outbound training for B2B sales teams | I train reps to turn cold connections into booked calls, without automation | Founder, LinkedCoach |

Your reps already know how to use the software. But booking a call from a cold connection is a different skill, and most of them have never learned it. I train B2B sales teams to do that on LinkedIn - like a human, not AI. Here's the problem I keep getting asked to fix: A rep writes a good message to a new prospect, and the buyer checks out their profile, finds a job title, a logo and not much else, so they don’t reply. There was nothing wrong with the message, but the profile killed the deal before any conversation started. My program runs over 8 weeks with a cohort of 2 to 8 reps. Every rep builds their own voice profile from a structured interview, then we build them a personal DM Coach, a content engine on top of it and rebuild their LinkedIn profile properly. They learn the 5 stage conversation framework: rapport, authority, challenge, diagnosis, invite. They practise it on accounts they're already working. The part that matters to whoever signs it off: the voice profiles, the projects, the frameworks, the recordings and the playbook belong to the business. When a rep leaves they take their relationships. They don't take your capability, and the next hire starts within a system that already exists. I've done this with a distributed B2B sales team selling into enterprise accounts. The important part isn't the training itself. It's that 2 of the leaders on that team came back to me independently, at 2 different companies, as soon as they needed it again. I also run LinkedIn end to end for accomplished coaches and consultants. Former senior leaders, ex-C-suite and successful business owners who have the credibility and no time to put it in front of the right people every week. My team and I run the whole system: their profile, content in their real voice, the outreach and DM conversations, the assessment that brings the right people in, and the email automation behind it. They stay the expert. We run the engine. I built 28,000 followers here using the same systems I sell. No pods, no automation, no bought engagement. I turned my own feed off for a few months because the AI slop got too much, which tells you roughly where I stand on that. If you run a sales team, there's a link to the program details below.

  • I'm getting a bit fed up of AI slop. It's slowly killing LinkedIn. (I was going to write "quietly killing LinkedIn" but then you'd know I used AI to write this 🤣) I don't mind content written by AI if it's interesting in some way. But when it has no soul, no story and nothing that makes me want to read it, it's just noise to me. And even worse are the AI comments. They all just read the same. No original thinking, just sycophancy and zero substance. You could argue that LinkedIn has done this to itself by encouraging things like "enhance your profile with AI" or "rewrite this post with AI" straight from the platform. (I tried it once, by the way. It was terrible.) BUT, they have seen the light. And completely reversed the stance on AI content. Which means humans can emerge on the platform again. At last! You may have noticed the option to report AI slop when you click on the three dots at the top of a post. Please don't use it to report this one. Unless you think I used AI to write it of course. Do you? 🤖

  • I ran a small, intimate workshop for 40 people yesterday and got told I did a better job than Tony Robbins and Dean Grazioso. 🤣 I know it's subjective, but I'll take it. What I helped people create in the workshop are the foundations I build for my paying clients. You can get them for free. I won't harp on about it, but I promise you it's valuable and you can get it set up yourself while watching the recording. Let me know down there 👇🏻 if you do and I'll send it. Have a great weekend.

  • A few months ago I turned off my LinkedIn feed. I'm so tired of AI posts with AI comments. BUT. I'll be turning it back on again soon. LinkedIn is finally taking real action on pods, fake engagement and AI comments. Lots of people are complaining. I think it's awesome. This is probably the best opportunity to get your content in front of the right people there has been in a couple of years. Using AI to help you with your content is fine. Necessary, even, if you want to stay ahead. But outsourcing your brain and your creativity to it is not a great idea. People can spot it a mile off. And now LinkedIn can too. If you want to know how to stop sounding like AI on LinkedIn, I'm running a workshop on it tomorrow. It's going to be hands on and intimate and you're going to walk away with a solid setup and a writing system that uses your ideas and voice to create content that doesn't sound like AI. I'll also give you fill-in-the-blanks templates and interviews to get Claude setup to deeply understand your business, your audience and your writing tone and apply it to anything you create. Wanna join us? Here you go: https://lnkd.in/eZ3i_xvG I'd love to see you there.
