About Ali Soni

BizOps | I talk about Career Growth, Tech & AI | Helping you level up 1% everyday

*Note: No sponsorship needed* Email: [email removed] I’ve always seen data as a way to sharpen our understanding of the world, and each step in my career has proven that true. Early on, I learned how even a few thousand rows of numbers could uncover hidden efficiencies, reveal subtle market opportunities, and spur strategic growth. Back then, it was just me, a spreadsheet, and a determination to separate meaningful trends from the noise. As I evolved, so did the scale and complexity of my work. I handled 50+ analytics requests weekly, managed teams to produce client-facing reports in record time, and turned month-long projects into single-week sprints. I streamlined processes, automated repetitive tasks, and cut through redundancies to save entire teams hours of manual effort. My mission? Make data easier to grasp and faster to act on. I found that data can do more than measure outcomes, it can guide decisions. By collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing teams, I ensured everyone could use insights without needing a crash course in SQL or Python. It wasn’t just about the numbers; it was about telling a story that influenced everything from marketing spend to product improvements. I helped refine KPIs, elevate user experiences, and boost campaign performance, all by looking at the world through a data-driven lens. At the heart of my work is a belief that data should empower people. I’ve mentored new analysts, showing them how to transform tables into tangible strategies. I’ve built dashboards that cut through complexity, turning thousands of metrics into intuitive visuals that leaders can act on. Over time, I’ve honed a simple yet powerful formula: combine technical skills with creative thinking and clear communication, and you’ll drive meaningful change. If you need someone who can dive into complex datasets, orchestrate high-impact initiatives, and translate insights into compelling calls to action, I’m ready. Let’s talk about how I can help illuminate the path ahead, one dataset, one insight, one decision at a time. Feel free to send me a DM or an email, and let’s explore how data can become your strategic advantage. Email: [email removed]

  • I am in my late 20s, and I'm a bit embarrassed to admit these 7 things: 1. I don’t always know what I want next. I’ve learned to be okay with changing my mind as I learn more about myself. 2. I put a lot of pressure on myself to keep moving forward. Sometimes I need to remind myself that slowing down doesn’t mean I’m falling behind. 3. I'm still learning how to balance ambition with enjoying where I am right now. 4. I'm terrible at doing nothing. Give me a free afternoon and I’ll probably find something to work on. 5. I compare my progress to people who are years ahead of me, even though I know I’m only seeing a small part of their journey. 6. I'm learning that not every opportunity is worth taking. Sometimes saying no is what gives you the time to do something better. 7. I'm still figuring out what kind of life I actually want, not just what I think I’m supposed to want. I’m not trying to have everything figured out. I’m just trying to get a little better at knowing myself, making better decisions, and enjoying the process along the way. If you’re figuring things out too, you’re in good company (:

  • I don't mass apply. I don't collect certifications just to fill up my resume. I don't spend months learning skills I'll never use. I don't care about having the perfect career plan. I find following the traditional career playbook boring. Here's what I focus on: Build things that prove I can do the work. Share what I'm learning so the right people can find me. Use AI to move faster and create things I couldn't have built before. Find what works for you, and let the results speak for themselves.

  • AI has a writing style. Once you see it, you can't unsee it (no, not the em dash). I blacklisted these 7 AI marks from my writing. 7/ The forced contrast "It's not X. It's Y." AI loves taking an idea, negating it, and then presenting a deeper answer. 6/ The rhetorical question "The best part?" If you have something to say, just say it. 5/ The dramatic one-liner "And that's when everything changed." Unnecessary filler words. 4/ The "not just" construction "It's not just about getting a job. It's about building a career." Overused. 3/ The forced vulnerability "I'll be honest, I was terrified." Don't tell me how emotional it was. Give me details that make me feel it. 2/ "The whole [whatever]." "That's the whole point." If you can remove "whole" without changing the sentence, remove it. 1/ Overuse of "Real" “The real problem." Most of the time, "real" isn't adding anything. The problem isn't that any one of these is bad. I've used plenty of these myself. The problem is when you stack five or six together and the post starts sounding like it was written by the same AI that wrote 10,000 other LinkedIn posts today. What patterns have you seen in AI writing? 🤔
