I went through this cycle too many times in my career. 1. You get excited about this new project. 2. Then you find out that the data is so bad. 3. You work your way to make some fixes. 4. You then like: "Hmm, it's not THAT bad". 5. You find some pattern & share them to the team. 6. And then nothing happens. This is why YOU always need to 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 your analysis. You can do that by: - Sharing your work more broadly - Building relationship so ppl spread the word - Having clear next steps/recommendations So that all the work you do have: ACTUAL IMPACT. And doesn’t get thrown to the trash. ——— ♻️ Repost this if you found it insightful 👋 Follow Amney for Daily Data Tips
I landed a job at Meta by focusing on just 3 things: - SQL - Business Sense - Communication That's it. I spent hours practicing these 3 as much as possible. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. Most Data Analysts try to master 15 things (Python, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, ETL) and end up average at all of them. So, don't get distracted, do this instead: 1) Choose a few skills (max 3) 2) Get ridiculously good at them. And you will go very FAR. My top 3 for 2026 are: - Business Sense - Communication - Leveraging AI ——— ♻️ Repost this if you find this insightful! 👋 Follow me, Amney for Daily Data & AI Tips
Most Data Analysts stay in their comfort zone. When you are junior, you act as a reporting machine. They just ask you to do work and you do it. And when you become good at it, it feels easy. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽. You can only grow if you move beyond that fear by: - Presenting your work to more stakeholders - Increasing your visibility - Accepting to be rejected And as you learn, YOU become the voice in the room that drives decisions. Not just that person answering questions. Please don’t stay in your comfort zone. Learn from each step. Keep getting better. And become the Data Analyst everyone look at in your company to shape decisions. ——— ♻️ Repost this if you find this insightful 👋 Follow me, Amney for more Data content
