CEO and Co-Founder TicketCo📱 // Host of the Dont forget your tickets podcast, helping ticketing managers become strategic🎙️ // Enabling the best fan journey in the world
I sold party tickets out of my parents' house at 16. At 19 I chartered ships to take Norwegian students to the UK, which paid for my business degree. At 22 I ran marketing for one of Norway's largest restaurant and bar groups, 200 staff, and bought a few of the venues along the way. At 28 I was putting on a festival in the Norwegian mountains and had to fax documents to go on sale. Every venue operator I spoke to, Hulen in Bergen included, told the same story. So my co-founder and I built TicketCo. A call from Sogndal Football Club pulled us into sport, and we have since handled more than €900m in ticket sales across 300,000 events in Europe. I also co-founded Don't Forget Your Tickets, now the largest podcast in ticketing, because the people who actually run events rarely get the credit. Next up: a podium spot on the global scene.

YOUR REPUTATION IS YOUR CURRENCY Have you considered turning your ticketing role into a global career? Our next lecturer is someone that has done exactly that. It is possible! The first time, Brooke Arthur walked me through an internship at the Asian Games in Doha, leading ticketing at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and what had changed between the 2015 and 2023 Women's World Cups. Then when we hit episode 50, I wanted to bring back whoever our listeners had returned to the most. That was Brooke, by a distance, so I invited her again. What stayed with me both times is not only her level of energy but how she talks about the job itself. Ticketing is a role plenty of people hold at one club or one organiser. Brooke has built her whole career the other way, contract to contract, event after event, from that first internship in Doha to the Commonwealth Games and beyond, without ever settling into a permanent post. She talks plainly about what that costs you, what it gives back, and that for these kind of jobs, reputation is your biggest currency. Brooke teaches that path at lecture nine of the DFYT Academy, on Thursday 5 November. The series itself starts Thursday 10 September, so if you haven't registered yet, now is the moment. 🥰
TWO TICKETING MANAGERS WITH ONE THING IN COMMON Fans trust them! In today's episode of Don't Forget Your Tickets, I sat down with Natasha Fitzgerald of Woking FC and Scott Smyth of Coleraine FC, two of the five winners of TicketCo’s Ticketing Manager of the Year Awards 2026. Scot has been around Coleraine Football Club since he was four or five years old, and took on ticketing just as the club prepared for European football for the first time. He told us about tracking down a fan's lost ticket two hours before an away match in Helsinki, sorted out at the gates with nothing but a phone and a PDF. Natasha Fitzgerald landed in ticketing almost by accident, in a role she thought would be easy admin, and has since grown it into plans to turn Kingfield Stadium into a venue for concerts, festivals and a Christmas market. Asked how it felt to win, she admitted that she thought she deserved it. I loved hearing that. So many people downplay their own work, and it's rare to hear someone just own it instead. Give it a listen if you want an honest look at what running ticketing at a football club actually takes. Loved this one!
DON'T FORGET YOUR TICKETS ACADEMY GOES LIVE TODAY In four hours we open the very first Don't Forget Your Tickets Academy lecture, and I couldn't be more excited to host it. Our guest today is David Tavares Pansbo, Founding Partner at PLAYMAKERS. Before that he spent two years leading Above Sports through its shift from consultancy to technology driven sponsorship analytics. He has spent his career chasing one problem most clubs struggle with; that they treat every fan the same way. Today he'll show us a better way. There is still time to register and join us live. Dont miss out!
