  • Most business tools solve one problem. The problem starts when you have 10 different tools solving 10 different problems — and you still need a spreadsheet to understand what's happening. I spent some time exploring Grade, an ERP platform built for digital agencies, service providers and tech companies. What stood out to me: → Finance, including Pamp;L and cash-flow views → Project and budget management → Recruitment and team planning → HR and employee management → KPI and business reporting The interesting part isn't simply having all these features in one platform. Its the connection between them. For example, finance and project information can be viewed alongside team and operational data, giving founders and ops teams a broader picture of the business without constantly switching between separate systems. My honest take? Grade makes the most sense for a growing agency or IT company that has started outgrowing spreadsheets and disconnected tools. If you're a very small team with simple operations, you may not need an ERP yet. And if you have highly specialized requirements, Id still want to test the relevant workflows and integrations before making a decision. That's probably the right way to look at any business software: Don't buy it because it sounds good. Open it. Click around. See whether it actually fits the way your team works. You can explore Grade here: https://grade.app/ Disclosure: This is a paid collaboration with Grade.

  • Last night, I had the opportunity to attend a live session hosted by RACE AFRICA, and I’m glad I showed up. 🌍💻 The session, “From Talent to Opportunity Magnet,” gave me a fresh perspective on how I can use LinkedIn more strategically for my professional growth. One key lesson stood out: LinkedIn is not just a platform for looking for jobs. It is a platform for positioning yourself, communicating your value, building meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities. During the session, I learned more about how to: 🔹 Navigate LinkedIn strategically 🔹 Position my profile around my skills and career goals 🔹 Communicate my value more effectively 🔹 Build meaningful professional connections 🔹 Increase my professional visibility 🔹 Approach career opportunities more intentionally What I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on visibility and positioning. Having skills and qualifications is important, but being able to clearly communicate what you bring to the table and connect with the right people can open entirely new doors. As someone continuously developing my interests across AI, technology, digital opportunities and professional development, the session was a valuable learning experience. A big thank you to RACE AFRICA and everyone involved for creating a platform where young professionals can learn, connect, and become more intentional about their careers. Now comes the important part: putting the lessons into action. 🚀 💬 What is one LinkedIn skill you believe every young professional should master? #RACEAfrica #LinkedIn #CareerDevelopment #PersonalBranding #ProfessionalBranding #Networking #CareerGrowth #DigitalSkills #FutureOfWork #ProfessionalDevelopment #Africa #YouthEmpowerment
