Open to: Board roles • Public speaking engagements in technology, policy, and digital transformation I’m a senior executive with 25+ years’ experience leading data, technology and policy transformation in complex, regulated environments. I currently serve as Chief Executive of the Leasehold Advisory Service, where I am driving the shift to a digital-first, AI-enabled public service. I lead strategy, governance and delivery, working closely with government and regulators to scale access, strengthen insight, and improve outcomes for consumers. ✅ Forthcoming Publications I am the author of two forthcoming books exploring the intersection of technology, ethics, and modern society: Humanity Reimagined in the Age of AI (Summer 2026) – a forward-looking examination of how AI is reshaping creativity, identity, truth, and power. The book explores critical issues including bias, misinformation, digital influence, and the ethical limits of AI, arguing for a human-centred approach where accountability, diversity and governance shape how AI evolves. New Religious and Spiritual Movements: Reflexivity, Modernity, and Digital Faith (November 2026) – a sociological analysis of how spirituality is evolving in late modern societies, particularly through digital platforms. The book introduces new frameworks for understanding hybrid, decentralised and networked belief systems, highlighting how technology is reshaping meaning, identity, and collective experience. ✅ Research Expertise & Public Profile I have a strong record of applied research and thought leadership that has influenced national policy. As Head of Research & Policy at ScreenSkills, I led the 2012 Employment Census of the Creative Media Industries, the largest of its kind, spanning TV, film, and interactive media. Its findings directly informed the creation of Project Diamond, a landmark diversity monitoring framework still used by UK broadcasters. My work has consistently translated research into action, from informing DCMS’s adoption of the Creative Industries Economic Estimates as Official Statistics, to leading Future Worlds 2050 at The Law Society, shaping cross-sector policy discussions on AI, law, and society. I am regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences, and I publish across themes including AI ethics, innovation strategy, and regulatory futures. I have appeared on BBC News, Times Radio, and other platforms to translate complex insights for public and policy audiences.

6 Free Harvard University Courses Worth Exploring in 2026 All just one click away. After 20+ years leading digital, data and AI transformation across organisations, one thing is clear: The people who keep learning stay ahead. You do not always need another degree to sharpen your thinking. Sometimes, a high-quality short course is enough to help you: ➡️build practical AI skills ➡️strengthen leadership capability ➡️improve resilience and decision-making ➡️explore new areas of thinking That is why these 6 free online Harvard courses stood out to me. They cover some of the most important themes shaping work and leadership today: 1. Introduction to AI with Python https://lnkd.in/eGpH2hJy 2. Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles https://lnkd.in/eD73h-J2 3. The Path to Happiness https://lnkd.in/eqYGWaNn 4. Building Personal Resilience https://lnkd.in/eMMFdew5 5. Negotiating Salary https://lnkd.in/epxtfiyJ 6. Fundamentals of Neuroscience https://lnkd.in/eun6aaHv What I like about this list is that it is not just about technical knowledge. It is about becoming more effective overall: ✅better equipped for the AI era ✅more confident in leadership situations ✅more resilient under pressure ✅more intentional about personal growth That is the real advantage. Key takeaway: Learning does not need to be expensive to be valuable. The right course, at the right time, can open new opportunities and shift how you think. Which one would you start with first? You’re probably using AI wrong. Not because you picked the wrong tool. Because you’re using ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini like they’re interchangeable. They’re not. The biggest gains come from knowing what each tool is actually built to do. Here are 12 features most people overlook: 🔒 CHATGPT 1️⃣ Custom Instructions Set your preferences once so responses better match how you work. 2️⃣ Tasks Automate recurring prompts and routine work. 3️⃣ Canvas A better workspace for drafting and editing longer content. 4️⃣ Temporary Chat Use AI without the conversation being saved to your history. 🔒 CLAUDE 5️⃣ Projects Keep brand guidelines, documents and context together for more consistent outputs. 6️⃣ Extended Thinking Give Claude more room to work through complex problems. 7️⃣ Memory Carry useful context across conversations. 8️⃣ Scheduled Tasks Set recurring work to run without prompting it manually each time. 🔒 GEMINI 9️⃣ Deep Think Useful when the problem needs deeper reasoning, not a faster answer. 🔟 Scheduled Actions Automate prompts to run at set times. 1️⃣1️⃣ NotebookLM Work from your own documents, sources and links without constantly rebuilding context. 1️⃣2️⃣ Gems Create custom AI assistants with persistent instructions. The lesson? You don’t need to choose one AI tool and use it for everything. You need to understand where each one is strongest. Most of the capability you’re looking for is already there. You just need to know where to find it. Which of these 12 did you not know existed? 👇 Happy Sunday! Thanks to my friend Josh S. for the image to this post. _______________________________________________________ ♻️ Repost to inform your network. 🔔 Follow Dr. Kion Ahadi for insights at the cutting edge of knowledge.
The biggest risk after AI training? People actually start using AI. That sounds like success. Until you realise most organisations have trained the user, but not changed the process around them. That’s where shadow AI starts. Not with rule breakers. With capable people moving faster than governance. I’ve run AI literacy programmes for hundreds of senior leaders. Completion was rarely the problem. The difference was what happened after the course. Certificates prove attendance. Capability needs something else: a live workflow, a named owner and clear checks on AI output. So don’t assign AI training by interest. Assign it by responsibility: Leaders need governance, risk and strategy. Teams need practical AI workflows. Builders need the skills to ship safely. And after the training, ask for one thing: Show me one workflow, end to end, where AI is used, who owns it, and who checks the output. That’s how you close the AI Execution Gap — the distance between AI strategy and production accountability. Here are 12 free courses worth assigning by role: FOR LEADERS 1. Google AI Essentials — prompting, Gemini, responsible AI → https://lnkd.in/egFJM3ae 2. Anthropic Academy — 15 courses + certificates → https://lnkd.in/eRAyEiR4 3. IBM SkillsBuild — AI fundamentals, ethics and governance → https://skillsbuild.org 4. Microsoft Power Up — Copilot for business → https://lnkd.in/ep3wPVtv FOR TEAMS 5. OpenAI Introduction — APIs, prompts, fine-tuning, function calling → https://lnkd.in/eYGUiHr5 6. DeepLearning.AI Agent Skills — hands-on agent building → https://lnkd.in/eAFgg_AD 7. AWS Skill Builder — AI/ML, Bedrock and hands-on labs → https://skillbuilder.aws 8. Building with the Claude API — 7 modules, 14 assignments → https://lnkd.in/eNbTZvuz FOR BUILDERS 9. GitHub Copilot CLI — workflows, reviews and testing → https://lnkd.in/emApzFpp 10. LangChain.js for Beginners — TypeScript agents → https://lnkd.in/eEZdDqPa 11. NVIDIA Deep Learning — PyTorch, TensorFlow, neural networks → https://lnkd.in/eZXUKBW2 12. Stanford LLM Course — transformers to agentic LLMs → https://lnkd.in/eEBbbNPf Key takeaway: Train for capability. Design for accountability. What happens in your organisation the day after someone completes AI training? Happy Tuesday! ________________________________________ ♻️ Repost to support your network. 🔔 Follow Dr. Kion Ahadi for insights at the cutting edge of knowledge.
