What is an EU decentralised agency? I hope this visualisation helps you better understand the landscape of EU decentralised agencies and gives you a few useful tips if you are considering working in one of them. I know some people may argue that there are more EU decentralised agencies; however, for this visualisation, I have included only the agencies listed in the official filter on the EU website: https://lnkd.in/ddEVXMR6. The categorisation is subjective and reflects my own approach. I also understand that some agencies could fit into a different category. This carousel grew out of my participation in a programme organised by the Data Visualization Society, as part of my effort to further develop my data visualisation skills. 📊My data visualisation journey continues! This time, I used data from the AD5 2026 EPSO competition, the EU selection process for graduates seeking permanent positions in EU institutions, agencies, and bodies. For the main chart in this infographic, I used Datawrapper. ✍️The infographic also includes a few personal reflections at the end. As always, everything is source-based. Good luck to everyone preparing for the exams. 🍀 P.S. 1: EPSO slightly updated the final number of applications a few days ago, but the change does not affect the conclusions presented here. P.S. 2: The main purpose of this post is to continue building my portfolio in data visualisation. Last week, the EU Youth Conference took place in Cyprus, but mainly online. The challenging situation in our neighbourhood left us with no other choice. However, it still proved to be a highly successful and meaningful event. This would not have been possible without the contribution of all relevant stakeholders involved, from the Youth Delegates to everyone working behind the scenes. Throughout the conference, we worked on strong policy recommendations across a range of important topics, including youth-friendly policies, ways to strengthen trust and transparency in EU institutions through youth involvement and more. By the end of the conference, we saw a real possibility for the introduction of two new EU Youth Goals. For the very first time, it seems that PEACE may finally receive the recognition and importance it truly deserves. I will leave it here for now. A sincere thank you to the Cyprus Youth Council for once again giving me the opportunity to represent Cyprus as a Youth Delegate. Stay tuned! P.S.
