Helping people unleash their human-first creativity | Building The Remote Creatives
Originally from the UK, Han has been pioneering remote work since 2013, beginning with a grant-funded content project in Brazil. Since then she's built a career at the intersection of content, community and creative culture collaborating with tourism boards including Go Türkiye, Barbados Tourism, Costa del Sol and Experience Dubrovnik, and working with everyone from Techstars-backed startups to World Travel Market London. In 2025 she was named one of Favikon's Top 20 Remote Work Influencers in the UK, and her expertise on remote work and long-stay travel has been mentioned in various publications including Lonely Planet, Stylist and Cosmopolitan Türkiye. She was also selected for the inaugural UK LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Programme in 2022 and has attended as accredited media at Sifted Summit London and Web Summit Lisbon. The Remote Creatives has grown from a newsletter into a full ecosystem of over 750+ subscribers, global community meetups and soon, creative coworking retreats launching across Europe. It's a hub for creatives working from anywhere, built by someone who's been doing exactly that for over a decade. Alongside The Remote Creatives, Han takes on select part-time and consulting work with remote-friendly teams, particularly in marketing, content strategy, community and operations. If you're building something and need someone who gets both the creative and the commercial side, she'd love to hear from you.

[press] I'm excited to be returning to Web Summit Lisbon this year! And while I appreciate this post is a little bit early for the event, it's not too early to be thinking about the future. I'll be hosting podcast interviews during the event, but if you would also like to contribute a quote or to some other content, here are some of the things I am looking for: 📸 All things creator economy. That's it, tell me everything! What are you doing, what's next, is your company making things easier for creatives to be paid for their talents, give me the tea, send your reports 😄 🍎 Creatives, people in creative fields, creative people who are building things who've stood firm on the 'human premium' and have balanced the use of tech and AI in their process. 🐢 AI and tech that is improving health and making things better for our wildlife and environment. 💻 Location independent creative entrepreneurs and remote workers. What's your take on working remotely and working from anywhere? Where are your favourite destinations? Is there a platform, subscription or an app that you've been using to help with your remote life? If any of this sounds like a fit, either for you or someone you know. Feel free to comment here, tag the person, and/or send me an email [email protected] with your topic of choice and your pitch. Here's to another exciting Web Summit!
ICYMI: The Remote Creatives Podcast is officially available on your favourite listening platform 🥳 I felt a little bit crazy taking on this format again, but once those conversations were flowing, all the love I have for this kind of content came flooding back and then some. Because this time I'm focussing on location-independent creatives and the creative industries specifically. Leaning back into my roots, if you will. Over the summer, I had the opportunity to (re)connect with some incredible voices, covering: 📸 Finding your unique voice in your content and how vulnerability in the right amount works 🤝 Rethinking the art of networking for different personality types and business owners 💻 How making a pivot in your career doesn't have to mean starting from scratch 🎙️ Developing creative practices without 'over-optimising' And of course so much more, as well as a short solocast from myself about re-embracing the digital nomad label. Plus more episodes to come, and this time the transcripts will also be turned into blog posts on The Remote Creatives website shortly. Over the weekend, I received a notification that this show was already hitting download milestones, and I couldn't be more excited that it's already resonating with the community! If there is a topic and/or a creative you'd like to hear from, I'd love for you to share or tag them in the comments 💛
This might be a messy share, but I kind of have no idea what to post on here anymore 😂 Ok that’s not completely true. But between the AI slop, the growing LinkedIn influencer fatigue before that and the constant algorithm changes, I’ve started wondering if what I was creating had any value anymore. Even more so after taking a break from what seemed to be working for me a couple of years ago too. Over the last few months, but particularly in the last few weeks, I’ve had some honest conversations about why I create and stay online. And the bottom line for me is that: I enjoy it! I enjoy creating content and I like sharing it 😄 If I think back to why I started posting all those years ago, it was for the pure love of creating and wanting to share things that might be helpful to people. No chasing algorithms, no competing with trends or AI. Good content is like art, it’s an interpretation of how we see the world and invites people in with (mostly) similar outlooks and thoughts. It creates connection. Over the summer, I started experimenting with this perspective over on Substack. And it was like being given a permission slip to create how I used to create. Connecting with people who are also interested in creating, not influencing. And I’d like to try and bring a little of that back to my profile here. Sharing about travel and remote work, but with more mindfulness and fun again! If this sounds like something you’d like to get involved in, maybe think about coming on over to The Remote Creatives Substack community if you also wanna get back to posting for the joy again ☺️ In the meantime, here are some unfiltered moments from and intentional creativity walk this morning in Lagos 🇵🇹
