Building too many things, on purpose: Personade · 26Studio · DialogueAds · CodeYourDash
I started four companies to avoid one sales call. PERSONADE. Every founder I know can build. Almost none of them can make themselves sell. I am exhibit A. So I built Personade, a LinkedIn automation tool. It finds your leads on LinkedIn, sends the connection requests and follow-ups from your own account, and puts every reply in one inbox. It runs in the cloud, no browser extension. From $49 a month, with a 14-day free trial. personade.com DIALOGUE ADS. We run your ads inside ChatGPT. We set up the OpenAI ads account, write the campaigns and run your first 30 days, then hand you the numbers. Fixed fee, no percentage of spend, no contract. For brands already spending $15k/month on Google or Meta who want the next channel before it gets crowded. dialogueads.com 26STUDIO. A small studio that does the work around a company so the founders can run it. Websites and apps, launch films and video editing, Instagram and TikTok, branding, and a part-time CTO or CMO when you need one. 26studio.co CODEYOURDASH. A group of friends in Bali who code. Indie hackers and developers who ship. I co-run it and built the members app. ABOUT ME. I'm 27. French, raised in Laos, studied in New Zealand, now in Bali with my wife and our son. I wrote a book at 21 about what success means. 6 years later I still don't have a cleaner answer, but I do have a way of working. Small things, done patiently, one at a time. If any of this is useful to you, message me. I reply to everyone. Eventually.

For 593 days, I built things and did not sell them. I called that principle... What I could not stomach was never the reaching out. - It was the pretending. - The fake compliment. - The same message sent to 400 people with the first name swapped in. So I sent nothing, for years. Then I thought, I do not need to send 400 messages. I need to say one true thing 400 times and mean it every time. So I built the thing I needed, shaped entirely around how I wanted to work. It is live today. Personade. - You record one outreach video - It greets the prospect by name. - Personade says that same line back for every lead with their real name in it - In your voice, lip-synced onto your own footage. Your words. Your face. Only the name moves. Not some AI avatar bullshit. One afternoon of recording covers a month of outreach. Mine is booked out to December off a single take. We have been using it to sell itself for weeks, and it works. Building a tool you then use to sell that tool is a strange kind of luck. There is a kind of founder who will let a good product die rather than become someone they do not like. You should not have to choose. Niall Cleaver and I been working hard on this and we are looking forward to seeing you succeed by using Personade. Doors are open. Link in the comments. | | | P.S... We've also launched: "Personade for Slack" is a Slack app that sends first day, birthday and anniversary videos to your team, from one recording of your CEO, or a celebrity investor if you have one. Different product, different buyer, same trick. Also in the comments. #BuildInPublic #Sales #Personade
3 weeks ago, I launched a new business. And we're already making HUGE changes. It's been 20 days since Niall and I launched Personade (hint: we now have a 3rd co-founder) A software that allows you to turn one video into revenue. And as the technical founder. It's been a pretty crazy week (look at my eye bags!!!) In the first week of launch, we've had: - Multiple calls. - Had our first customers. - Signed Entreprise Clients!!! - & ofc, fixed minor errors and small bugs. And now we're making a huge change, and it includes our marketing website. The calls we've taken have given us big indicators of what people want and what people are missing in their outreach stack, something sexy. You see time and time again founders who just ship new things constantly without really understanding who they're building for. We're doing the opposite, we go where the water flows. #sleepdeprived
Danielle Theobald is not the person you think she is!!! 60,000 of you know her as the marketing queen. More precisely, the Pinterest queen. The strategist who makes growing an audience look easy. I know a version that you don't. - She answers clients at hours nobody should be working, then puts the phone down the second our son needs her. - She manages multiple client accounts, each one expecting her best, and none of them ever gets less. - She writes strategies, builds content calendars, and reports on results, then opens her laptop again at night to work on her own brand. - She studies every algorithm change so her clients never have to think about it. - She puts herself last, every single day. That's the version everyone benefits from. But it made me wonder what she's carrying that nobody sees. Yesterday we were having ice cream, just the two of us, and I asked her a question. "What's one question you wish people asked you but never do?" She didn't have to think about it. She said, "How's postpartum going for you." That hit me hard. To all the entrepreneur mums out there, I salute you. You're building businesses while carrying things most people never see. The least we can do is ask about them. Happy Mother's Day, every day
