This time last year, I was a speaker at San Ignacio University - Miami, talking about Personal Branding. We were discussing competition, AI and how difficult it was becoming to stand out. I told the students something I strongly believed then, and believe even more today: “The one thing your competition can never copy is YOU.” Today, I saw the news about Steven Bartlett and it instantly took me back to that classroom in Miami and the conversation we had about the power of building a name around who you are!!! Steven.com and Authentic Brands Group launched OBSN, with plans to invest up to $400M in creator-led businesses. A year later, seeing this level of investment in businesses built around people, and their personal brands makes that conversation feel even more relevant. It made me realise just how much has changed in ONE YEAR... Today, we are watching an entire economy grow around PEOPLE, Personal Brands and Content Creation. If you are still wondering whether Personal Branding should be part of your strategy, I think the industry is already giving us the answer 😉
CHAPTER 36. NEW ADVENTURE UNLOCKED! 🎂 September has always been MY month. Maybe it's the birthday feeling, the change of seasons, or simply the excitement of starting something new. But this September feels extra special! I turned 36 and celebrated 6 years of entrepreneurship! What a journey it has been! So, I thought I would share 6 things I have learned along the way... 1. Every NO can be a blessing. Some opportunities I was convinced were perfect for me didn't work out. Looking back, those NOs were actually protection. They made room for something better. 2. Know your worth. Not every opportunity is worth pursuing. I have learned that protecting your time, energy and expertise is just as important as growing your business. 3. Your network is worth more than you think. Some of my best opportunities came from conversations, introductions and people who believed in me. Invest in relationships! 4. Celebrate the small wins. Entrepreneurship keeps you chasing the next big thing. That's why I started my little "Win Jar". A reminder that even on difficult days, there's something worth celebrating. 5. You will never feel 100% ready. Sometimes you just have to say YES, figure things out along the way, and trust yourself a little more. 6. You don't have to build everything alone. The right people bring different perspectives, challenge your thinking and make the journey so much more exciting. That brings me to my birthday gift to myself this year. 🎁 This September, I officially became a Co-Founder of Far From Square Together with Barry Brand, Emil Volchev, and SGI Architects & Masterplanners we are launching the first brand-led placemaking company in Southeast Europe. Bringing branding, storytelling, marketing, and architecture together to create places people genuinely connect with. For someone who has spent years helping businesses build their brands, this feels like a natural next chapter. From URL to IRL (In Real Life) ❤️ P.S. Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes! 🎂
Conference season is coming. ✈️ Companies will spend thousands on stands, branding, flights, hotels and dinners. They will have hundreds of conversations. But what happens to those leads when everyone goes home? Every lead should have a clear follow-up journey, and that journey should be built before the conference starts. The question is simple: What happens after you speak to your ideal prospect? 📩 DM or email me at [email protected] and let’s build your follow-up journey together.
