  • “Email marketing just doesn’t work for us.” Maybe. Or maybe the problem is: - An email list that’s two years old and full of outdated, invalid, or bounced contacts - An email platform that isn’t properly connected to the CRM, leaving data, lifecycle stages, and sales activity disconnected - One giant list with little segmentation by persona, lifecycle stage, intent, or behavior - Only marketing to the primary decision maker - Emails that sound like: “Hi {{First Name}}, here are 3 reasons you should book a demo.” - Mass sends instead of behavioral triggers, nurture sequences, and automated journeys - Poor sending infrastructure: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain reputation, bounce management, suppression lists, etc. - Open rates treated as the KPI instead of clicks, replies, engagement, conversions, and movement through the buying journey - Sales not following up with the people who actually engage Email marketing might not be the problem. The strategy behind it might be. Before writing off the channel, look at the list, the data, the infrastructure, the segmentation, the messaging, the automation, and the measurement.

  • In 2005, Beyoncé was 23 and had gone solo only a few years prior. Simon Cowell said "𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘤é 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘹𝘺, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳.” First off, rude. But to be clear, this was one of the most powerful voices in music at the time confidently (and crudely tbh) saying one of the biggest stars of our generation didn’t have what it takes. A few years later, Beyoncé did the most Beyoncé thing and guest performed live on one of Simon's shows and absolutely crushed it fr. To Simon's credit, he did admit he was wrong. My point is that haters are going to hate. No, you’re not Beyoncé. But you’re going to get dismissed and talked down to by people who seem to know what they’re talking about. It's all background noise. Keep doing your thing, showing up and being you.

  • Every AI company right now: - We’re replacing your employees - We’re agentic - We have MCP - We’re AI-native - We’re autonomous - We’re disrupting everything - We’re changing work forever - We’re definitely not just a wrapper Why would I deceive you? This is what happens when marketing is an afterthought. Every new capability becomes a “revolution" and too many buzzwords makes it into the pitch. Because somebody still needs to answer the basic question: Why should the customer actually care?
