I write LinkedIn content for deep-tech founders | 10 years in engineering → making complex tech understandable | Founder, Alphavant
I used to develop technology. Now I help the people building it explain what they do. Mechanical engineer by training. Spent 10 years in automotive, working on lidar, vehicle simulation, vehicle dynamics and eventually engineering processes. Then I left engineering to create LinkedIn content for engineering founders. Slightly unusual career move. Especially with two kids, one of them a newborn at the time 🫣 It started with writing for myself. As a self-employed consultant, I needed people to know who I was and what I could help with. So I started posting. Around 500 connections back then. Over time, founders started asking whether I could help with their content too. And I realised I enjoyed that work a lot. Talking to someone who’s spent years solving a difficult technical problem. Asking questions. Finding the example that makes it click for someone who hasn’t spent those same years in the field. That’s what I do today through Alphavant. I help deep-tech founders turn their knowledge, opinions and actual work into LinkedIn content. Robotics, physical Ai, lidar, automotive. Fields where understanding the details matters. My engineering background helps. It doesn’t mean I know your technology better than you do. You bring the depth. I bring an outside perspective, technical curiosity and the writing. A few things matter to me: If a claim doesn’t hold up, we change it. If something sounds impressive but says nothing, we cut it. And if the post doesn’t sound like you, it needs another pass. The goal is that people understand what you’re building, why it matters and who’s behind it. So when a relevant conversation comes up, they already have a reason to think of you. I can’t promise that every post brings a lead. I can help you show up consistently with something worth saying. Still an engineer in how I think. Just working on a different problem now. If you’re building something technical and struggling to put it into words, send me a DM. Happy to talk.

VW built a software company so the car could be software. Then Cariad cut 1,600 of 5,900 jobs. Almost one in three. By the end of 2026. A spokesman confirmed it to dpa. The official line is the developers are safe. Admin and coordination go. The people who write the code stay. I spent 10 years in the German automotive supply chain. I have heard this line at three different suppliers. First you protect the “critical” engineers. Then the program slips. Then you buy the software from outside. Then the critical engineers are sitting in a smaller room, carrying the same scope. Cariad already delayed the Porsche Macan Electric and the Audi Q6 e-tron by about two years because the code was not done. That is the in-house software bet. Diess wanted it built here. Blume’s 2023 reset ends with fewer people and more Rivian and Xpeng. The industry is screaming software-defined vehicle. VW’s software subsidiary is getting smaller. If you are a technical founder selling into this machine, pay attention. The software org you are trying to get a meeting with is being resized. The people who could champion you are choosing a package. Build your own distribution. Build your own audience. The institution that used to validate a supplier is busy finishing a restructuring that started in 2023. Sources: dpa-AFX / company spokesman, Eurofound factsheet (1,600–1,700, through 31 Dec 2026).
You built the thing. Nobody knows. I've watched brilliant deep-tech founders pour years into something genuinely hard — and then go quiet the second it works. The instinct that makes you great at building is the same one that keeps you invisible: head down, ship, repeat, let the work speak. Here's the trap. The deeper you go, the narrower your audience gets. The people who could actually understand what you built shrink to a handful — and most of them will never find you, because you're too busy building to be seen. The fix isn't becoming a "content creator." It's letting the work you already do become the signal. One post about the problem you just solved. One honest note about what broke. That's not marketing. That's just turning the lights on in a room you already built. The stage is empty because you never told anyone the show started.
Next year, finally, we’ll get our first Chinese EV. (German cars are so boring ) I always wanted to own an Audi. Last year we got a new Ford, this year a Volvo. But now I’ll finally go “Chinese”! It’s still time until July, but I’m starting to research models and places to lease and get these cars serviced. The easiest would probably going for a BYD but that’s like going for a VW/Huyndai crossover. My current favorites are: Li Auto L9 - so far not official distributor in Germany as far as I can tell but announced for 2027 XPENG G9 - dealer 30 km from my place, will test drive it soon. NIO EL8 - Nio House in Hamburg City Center, bit outside my price range to be honest but amazing car. Would love to drive it once. Xiaomi Technology YU7 - abboced to enter Germany officially 2027 - would love to drive it!! I’ll probably going to take you along the journey of testing and choosing our new family SUV for July 2027. Which one would you choose?
